NRC ASSAM SECOND DRAFT (FINAL DRAFT) RESULT ON 30TH JULY 2018
In a recent interview with local journalists Mr Prateek Hajela, the State Coordinator of National Register of Citizens (NRC), has stated that due to havoc flood condition around 89 NRC Seva Kendras in 3 Barak valley districts, NRCASSAM SECOND DRAFT (final draft) could not be published on June 30. However the NRCASSAM final draft would be published within the time limit set by the Supreme Court ie on July 30 and names of around 1.50 lakh peoples, whose names were appeared in the First draft NRC published on December 31 , 2017, could not be included in the final draft NRC.
The names of 65,694 persons, whose names appeared in the first draft NRC , were found to be inadmissible during the family tree verification. Again names of 48,456 married women, who provided Panchayat certificates as proof of linkage were also found to be non-admissible. During the process of quality control checks at NRC, names of another 19,783 persons were found to be non admissible for similar reason. It is also possible that such cases may arise during the final quality control checks at NRC.

As the NRC ASSAM RESULT popularly known as SECOND DRAFT NRC date ie 30th July is coming near, the NRCASSAM authority has already completed the process of verification and the data entry of the Names with NRC ASSAM FAMILY TREE work is going on in full speed. The data entry work and quality checks to be completed by 20th July. The final consolidation of the central database and generation of the PDF from the database is planned to be completed by 26th July and the hardcopy ie. printouts of the database to be taken by 29th July. The hard copies will be available in all the 2500 NRC Seva Kendras of the State and around 22 lakh printouts will be taken for public circulation, to successfully publish NRC ASSAM FINAL DRAFT RESULT on 30th July on the official website of NRCASSAM : www.nrcassam.nic.in and its’ other official websites.
Mr Hajela said that all the officials are working hard to make the NRC as error free. He further assured that if the name of Indian citizen’s name is left out of the NRC, they need not to be worry as such persons will get adequate opportunity to file NRC Hearing, claims and objections.

Meanwhile, names of around 1.50 lakh people, whose names appeared in the first draft, would not be included in the final draft. Hajela said that names of 65,694 persons, whose names appeared in the first draft, were found to be inadmissible during the family tree verification, while, names of 48,456 married women, who provided Panchayat certificates as linkage were also found to be non-admissible. During the quality control checks, names of another 19,783 persons were found to be non admissible. A few more such cases may come up during the final quality control checks. However, he said that such persons would have an opportunity to file claims after the publication of the final draft.
Mr Hajela also stated that the names of doubtful voters and person’s whose cases are going on in the Foreigners Tribunals are not included in the final draft right now. NRC authority have not deleted their names and only kept them on the hold. If they win the cases in the Foreigners’ Tribunals, their names will be included in the NRC later.
