Assam Direct Recruitment notification has been published on 31st October, 2023 by SLRC. The Govt. of Assam has published a huge number of vacancies of Grade III and Grade IV posts again under the Assam Direct Recruitment 2.0. As per the commitment made by the Chief Minister of Assam total 12,600 Nos of Grade III and Grade IV posts recruitment notification has been out. The whole recruitment process of Assam Direct Recruitment is looking after by State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC). Assam Govt. smoothly completed the 1st phase of Recruitment process under Assam Direct Recruitment. For ADRE 2.0 also the State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) will conduct the written as well as the skill test and interviews.

Details of Assam Direct Recruitment 2023

Name of Posts: Grade-III and Grade-IV

total No of Posts: 12,600 Posts (Tentative)

  • Grade-III: 7,600 Posts
  • Grade-IV: 5,000 Posts.

Eligibility Details:

For Grade III Posts:

  • Category I: Bachelor Degree Level
  • No of Posts: 4,055 Posts
  • Minimum Educational Qualification:
    • Bachelor’s Degree.
    • Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Certificate/Diploma of minimum 6(six) months duration from a recognized Institute.
    • Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Certificate/Diploma of minimum 6(six) months duration and Stenography Certificate from recognized Institute.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science with Computer Certificate/Diploma of minimum 6(six) months duration from a recognized Institute.

 

  • Category II: HSSLC Level
  • No of Posts: 3,127 Posts
  • Minimum Educational Qualification:
    • HSSLC or equivalent Examination passed
    • HSSLC (Science) Examination passed

 

  • Category III: HSLC Level
  • No of Posts: 418 Posts
  • Minimum Educational Qualification:  HSLC or equivalent Examination passed with valid LMV Driving Licence

Age limit for ADRE Grade III Posts: The applicant shall not be less than 18 years or more than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2023. The upper age limit is relaxable only as stipulated below. The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the School/Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card/Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council/Schools / or other Government document, as applicable and notified.

  • 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates.
  • 2 years for Ex-Servicemen.
  • 10 years for Persons with Disabilities candidates.




For Grade IV Posts:

  • HSLC (Class Ten) or equivalent examination passed
    • No of Posts: 1,060 Posts
  • HSLC (Class Ten) or equivalent examination passed along with ITI pass certificate in the trade of wireman/electrician/ fitter/welder/ machinist/Electronics Mechanic from Govt. of Assam approved Institute.
    • No of Posts: 1,990 Posts
  • Read up to Class-VIII
    • No of Posts: 1,950 Posts

Please Note: The Maximum Qualification for Grade IV Category is HSSLC (Class-12) or equivalent examination passed.

Age limit for ADRE Grade IV Posts: The applicant shall not be less than 18 years or more than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2023. The upper age limit is relaxable only as stipulated below. The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the School/Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card/Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council/Schools / or other Government document, as applicable and notified.

  • 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates.

Application Fee for ADRE 2023

  • There will be no application fee for all the categories of candidates.
  • Candidates are not required to pay any application fee for submission of their online applications.

Selection Procedure for Assam Direct Recruitment

For Grade III Posts:

The Selection Criteria and the mode of examination for the different categories of posts shall be communicated in due course of time. However, after written examination, the shortlisted candidates will have to appear for skill test viz. Computer/Stenography/Driving Skill tests etc.

The shortlisted candidates will have to bring all the original testimonials i.e. Age proof Certificate, Caste Certificate (in case of reserved category candidates), Educational Qualification Certificates, Computer Proficiency Certificate (as applicable), Disability Certificate (in case of PwBD candidates) and Declaration in Form-“A” under Rule 5(I) of the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019 as available in the website for verification at the time to be notified later on.

For Grade IV Posts:

There shall be two parts of selection process – Written test and Interview.

The scheme of examination shall be strictly as per the “Assam Direct Recruitment for Class-III and Class-IV Analogous Posts Rules, 2022” as amended from time to time. Further, this scheme will be published at least one week before the conduct of written test.

The selected candidate will have to bring all the original testimonials i.e. Certificate of proof of age, Caste Certificate (in case of reserved category candidates), Educational Qualification Certificates, Disability Certificate (in case of PWBD candidates) and Declaration in Form – “A” under Rule 5(1) of the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment), Rules, 2019 for verification at the time to be notified later on, amongst others. An undertaking with regard to fulfillment of all eligibility criteria has to be uploaded in the portal. The Discharge certificate will be required in case of Ex-serviceman.

Candidates need to visit the website www.assam.gov.in or www.sebaonline.org and click on the option “Apply online for Assam Direct Recruitment 2023 for Garde III or Grade IV Posts” which will open the application form in a new tab of your browser Or you may open the online apply link from the below given link in the important link section(Please note that the online application link will be available from 10th November, 2023).

  • Scroll down, go to Important Links section .
  • Click on the “Register Online” and complete the registration process.
  • In the next stage, click on “Apply Online” Link and Login.
  • Fill your all personal and educational details and upload necessary documents.
  • Make payment of application fee as per your category and submit the form.
  • At the end, take a print out of the application form.

Documents to be uploaded:

  • Recent Passport size Photograph.
  • Scanned signature of the Candidate.

Syllabus of Assam Direct Recruitment For Grade III Posts

The State Level Recruitment Commission(SLRC) has published separate category wise syllabus for Grade 3 posts under Assam Direct Recruitment. Each category syllabus contains 6 subject/topics from where the questions will be asked for Grade III written exam. The subject wise syllabus is given below. 

  • There will be a total of 100 multiple choice questions, carrying 1.75 marks each for the examination for posts with minimum required qualification of Bachelor Degree and Bachelor Degree with Computer certificate/diploma.
  • There will be 100 multiple choice questions, carrying 1.5 marks each for the posts with minimum required qualification of HSSLC or equivalent.
  • There shall be no negative marking.
  • The selection of candidates for inviting them for computer proficiency test/ skill test/interview will be in the ratio of 1:2. Candidates scoring identical marks in the written examination will be invited for appearing in the proficiency test/skill test/interview, irrespective of the ratio mentioned.
  • The candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for computer proficiency test/skill test/interview.

For HSSLC or Equivalent Category:

Syllabus of Assam Direct Recruitment For Grade IV Posts

The syllabus of the examination for recruitment to the Class-IV Posts shall be in consonance with the prescribed SCERT syllabus of Class VIII Examination and Class X (HSLC examination or equivalent examination) syllabus for read upto Class VIII category and HSLC(Class Ten) or equivalent examination passed category respectively.

  • There will be a total of 135 multiple choice questions, carrying 1 (one mark) each, to be attempted in 120 minutes.
  • There shall be no negative marking.
  • The selection of candidates for inviting them for interview / skill test will be in the ratio of 1:2.
  • Candidates scoring identical marks in the written examination will be invited for appearing in the interview/skill test, irrespective of ratio mentioned above.
  • The detailed Sops for conduct of written examination for maintaining order and discipline shall be issued separately by SEBA.

What is the salary of Grade 3 in direct recruitment ?

For Grade 3 positions the expected in hand salary after all deduction is around Rs. 26,000/- to 30,000/- per month. The salary may very from department to department.

Minimum Educational Qualification for Grade 3 posts is:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
