NRC Assam Documents Reverification – NSK based Verification by Deputy Commissioner for further enquiry and re-verification of documents. As the documents verification process is going on for NRC Assam from last 3 to 4 months for a fair and fault less National Register of Citizen (NRC) of some particular families now the NRC Assam authority has made an arrangement for re-verification of documents for some particular reason.



The NRC Assam Family Tree Verification has started on 15^th February 2018 and the certificate verification has started on 2^nd  April 2018. At the time of family tree verification all the family members are called in the NRC centers in front of NRC Authorities. The certificates provided by different authorities like Gaon Panchyat Secretary, Lot Mandal, Circle Officer etc are verified at the time of NRC Assam Certificate Verification. Since the NRC Assam First Part Draft had published on 31^st December, 2018 the hon’ble Supreme Court of India had ordered the Assam Govt. to publish the 2nd part draft of NRC and Final Draft of NRC Assam as soon as possible. As the citizens of Assam are eagerly waiting for NRC Assam Final Draft the NRC Assam Commissioner had announced that they will going to publish the 2nd part draft on 31^st May 2018 and Final Part Draft on last of June 2018.

NRC Assam Documents Reverification:

To ensure inclusion of genuine Indian citizens, certain applications may require further enquiry and re-verification by District Magistrates (Deputy Commissioners).

In such cases, the applicants will get an opportunity to appear before a Verifying Officer at the NSK as appointed by the District

Applicants will get adequate opportunity during this appearance to clear any doubt or provide clarification.

Re-verification starts from 4^th May 2018.

The applicant will be informed of the date, time and venue of the appearance through a letter to be delivered at the address mentioned in the Application Form. This letter will also give description of the documents or particulars which needs to be re-verified.

Applicants to appear before the Verification Officer at the respective NSK at the appointed date and time. Applicants can bring with them all evidence/ proof they wish to adduce in support of their application to include in NRC. To prove linkage, applicant may also bring the Legacy Person or other descendants of the Legacy Person for recording their statements.

For the purpose of re-verification, applicant may have to show the original document.

No original document will be taken into custody by the Verification Officer.

NRC Assam Grievance Redressal:

In case of any grievance, visit the concerned NRC Seva Kendra (NSK) to lodge so complaint with the Local Registrar of Citizen Registration (LRCR) or with Circle Officer who is the Circle Registrar of Citizen Registration (CRCR) or with Deputy Commissioner, who is the District Registrar of Citizen Registration (DRCR).
