NF Railways Recruitment 2026

North East Frontier Railways, Mailgaon, Guwahati has published a recruitment notification regarding recruitment of 32 PGT, TGT and PRT Teachers in RAILWAY H.S. SCHOOL/MALIGAON, NETAJI VIDYAPITH RAILWAY H. S. SCHOOL/MALIGAON, RAILWAY PRIMARY SCHOOL, REST CAMP, PANDU and RAILWAY DTP SCHOO, AMINGAON by engaging suitable candidates, purely on contract basis. NF Railways Recruitment Details

1. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

No of Posts: 09 Posts

Remuneration: Rs. 27,500/- per month

Educational Qualification: 

  • Two years’ Integrated Post Graduate M. Sc Course of ‘Regional college of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject; OR Master Degree from a recognised University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the following subjects.
    • PGT(Biology) – Botany/Zoology/ Life Sciences/Bio Sciences/Genetics/ Micro Biology/ Bio Technology/Molecular Bio/Plant Physiology provided they have studied Botany and Zoology at Graduation level.
    • PGT (History) – History
    • PGT (Political Science) – Political Science (iv) PGT(Geography) – Geography,
    • PGT (Commerce) – Masters Degree in Commerce. Should be proficient in Accountancy, Business Studies and Banking & Finance However, holder of Degrees of M. Com in Applied/Business Economics shall not be eligible.
    • PGT(Hindi) – Hindi
  • B. Ed or equivalent degree from recognized University.
  • Proficiency in teaching in English medium.
  • Desirable Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Post Graduate Teacher (Physical Education): Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Health and Physical Education and Degree in Sports with at least 55% marks as per National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2009. Or At least 50% Marks in the B.P.Ed. Degree/ B.P.Ed (Integrated) Four years Professional Degree in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 10th December, 2007. Or B. P. Ed. With at least 55% marks or B. P. E Course (or its equivalent) of three years duration with at least 50% marks in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Form of Application for Recognition, the Time Limit of Submission of Application, Determination of Norms and Standards for Recognition of Teacher Education Programmes and Permission to Start New Course or Training) Regulation, 2002 Notified on 13th November, 2002 And M.P.Ed of at least two years duration from any National Council for Teacher Education Recognised Institution Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Competent Authority, for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

2. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

No of Posts: 19 Posts

Remuneration: Rs. 26,250/- per month

Educational Qualification: 

  • Graduation (in the teaching subject) and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR At least 50% marks either in Graduation (in the teaching subject) or in Post Graduation (in the teaching subject) and B.Ed. OR Graduation (in the teaching subject) with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. OR Graduation (in the teaching subject) with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) OR Post-Graduation (in the teaching subject) with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. AND
  • Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), to be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose. AND 
  • Competence to teach through the medium/media as required.
  • Trained Graduate Teacher (Drawing):
    • M.A. Degree in Drawing and Painting / Fine Arts from a recognised University OR B.A. (Hons) in Art and Art Education OR 2nd Class Bachelors degree with Drawing and Painting/Fine Arts with minimum 2 years full time Diploma from a recognised Institution OR Higher Secondary /Intermediate with minimum 4 years full time Diploma in Painting/Fine Arts or Part-time Diploma of not less than 5 years duration.
    • Competence to teach through English medium.
  • Trained Graduate Teacher (Computer Science ): At least 50% marks in aggregate in any of the following :-
    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Application (BCA) from a recognized University. OR Graduation in Computer Science from a recognized university (provided that the computer science subject must be studied in all years as main subject). OR BE/B.Tech (Computer Science/Information Technology) from a recognized university. OR Graduation in any subject and ‘A’ level course from DOEACC, Ministry of Information & Communication and Technology, Govt. of India.
    • Competence to teach through English medium.
  • Trained Graduate Teacher (Physical Education): Graduate with Bachelors in Physical Education (BP Ed) or its equivalent. Competence to teach through English medium.

2. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

No of Posts: 04 Posts

Remuneration: Rs. 21,250/- per month

Educational Qualification: 

  • Primary Teacher(Hindi):
    • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (Β.ΕΙ.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. AND
    • Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), to be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose. CTET candidates are also eligible.
    • Competence to teach through Hindi medium.
  • PRT(Dance): Degree in Dance from a recognized University (4 Years Course) Or Diploma in Dance from a recognized Institution (5 Years).

Age Limit(For PGT, TGT and PRT): The candidate should be between the age of 18 and 65 years (as per KVS rules) as on date of interview and selected candidate shall not be eligible to continue their contract services beyond 65 years.
