CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme

To empower the youth of Assam and to support graduates as they transit from education to employment Assam Chief Minister has introduced the Jibon Prerana Scheme. The scheme provides a financial assistance to provide them with stability and encouragement during their job-search period. This initiative is not an unemployment allowance, but a motivational support (Prerana) to help them prepare for competitive exams, interviews, and entrepreneurial pursuits.

Under the Jibon Prerana Scheme Rs. 2500 per month will be provided to the graduates passing out in the year 2025 from Government universities/colleges of Assam. However, as per recommendation of District Commissioner, Assam Govt. will give one-time financial assistance of Rs. 25,000, instead of monthly instalment of Rs. 2500.  For more job and educational notification please check Assam Job Alert Regularly.

CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme Details:

Name of the Scheme: Jibon Prerana

Name of the Department: Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department, Government of Assam

Amount of Financial Assistance: Rs. 2500 per month OR Rs. 25,000 one time payment.

Starting Date: From 03/11/2025

Mode of Application: Online

Date of DBT Transfer: From 1st February, 2026 onwards

Owner of the Scheme: Assam State Government

Eligibility Criteria for CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme 2025

Educational Qualification: The applicant must be a fresh graduate of the 2025 batch from a government or public institution under the State or Central Government, located in Assam. Students from open universities or private institutions are not eligible to apply for the CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme.

Residential Status: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.

Ineligibility Criteria: The below mentioned categories of candidates are ineligible to apply for Jibon Prerana Scheme.

• Children of ministers and MLAs.
• Children of govt. registered contractor.
• Children of parents earning over Rs 10 lakh annually.
• Children of government employees, while children of Class IV employees will be able to receive the benefits.

How to Apply for CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme 2025

Interested and eligible candidates need to apply online for CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme through the DIDS Portal. Candidates may follow below mentioned steps to apply online.

• Scroll down, go to Important Links section .
• Click on the “Register Online” and complete the registration process with your phone number.
• In the next stage, click on “Apply Online” Link and Login.
• Fill your all personal and educational details and upload necessary documents.
• At the end, take a print out of the application form.
