Details of Soil Conservation Department Assam Recruitment
1. Soil Conservation Ranger under Soil Conservation Department
No of posts: 16 Posts [UR: 09, OBC/MOBC: 01, SC: 03, STP: 02, STH: 01]
Scale of Pay: Rs. 22,000/- to Rs. 97,000/- Grade Pay: Rs. 9,700/- Pay Band – 3
Educational Qualification: The candidate must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Science from any Govt. recognized University with at least Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Geology/Forestry/Environmental Science as one of the subjects. OR Bachelor Degree in Agriculture/Agriculture Engineering/Civil Engineering from any Govt. recognized university.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- As a domicile proof of the candidate, he/she must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purpose/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate will be treated as proof of residency. (Upload necessary documents)
Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025. The upper age limit is relatable. Relaxation of age is SC: 5 years, ST: 5 years, OBC/ MOBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10 years.
Selection Process of Conservation Department Assam Recruitment
Optional Subjects (Any two):
- Agriculture or Agriculture Engineering or Horticulture
- Botany
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Geology
- Forestry
- Environmental Science and
- Civil Engineering.
Note: No Candidate shall be allowed to take more than one subject from Group-(a) (i.e. Agriculture or Agriculture Engineering or Horticulture).
Physical Fitness: A candidate for direct recruitment shall be:
- Of sound physical and mental health and free from any infirmity which may interfere in the discharge of duties.
- Required to undergo Medical Examination before his appointment to the service.
- Candidate must submit a certificate of physical test issued by the Competent Authority.
- Candidate must possess the following physical standard:
Gender(Male):
- Height(cm): 155
- Normal Chest: 84
- Expansion Chest: +05
Gender(Female):
- Height(cm): 145
- Normal Chest: 79
- Expansion Chest: +05
Candidates shall qualify a physical test of:
- 25 km walk for male in 4 hours and
- 16 km walk for female in 4 hours.
A candidate for direct recruitment shall produce to the Commission, certificates of good character from the following:
- The Principal/Academic officer of the University or the College or such Educational Institutions in which he studies last and
- Two respectable persons who are well acquainted with (but not related to) the candidates.
