Vacancies for Assam: 50 posts

Scale of Pay: Rs.22405-1305(1)-23710-1425(2)-26560-1605(5)-34585-1855(2)- 38295-2260(3)-45075-2345(2)-49765-2500(5)-62265.

Educational Qualification: A fulltime/regular Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a University/Institution recognized by Government of India or its Regulatory bodies.

Regional Language Proficiency: Knowledge of Reading, Writing and Speaking of Regional Language of the State / UT against the vacancies for which a candidate wishes to apply, is essential. To ascertain the candidate’s familiarity with the Regional Language of the State / UT, a Regional Language Test will be conducted before final selection. Candidates not found to be proficient in the Regional Language Test would be disqualified.

Age: Candidates age must be Min. 20 year and Max. 30 years as on 01-Oct-2024. Relaxations in upper age limit for different categories are  SC/ ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, Ex-Servicemen: 3 years, Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years and PwBD: 10 years.

Selection Process of Union Bank of India

The selection process of Local Bank Officer for Union Bank may comprise of Online Examination / Group Discussion (if conducted)/Screening of applications and / or Personal Interview depending on the numbers of applicants/eligible candidates.

Online Examination / Test(Objective and Subjective):

• Reasoning & Computer Aptitude: 45 Questions, 60 Marks, 60 Minutes.
• General/Economy/ Banking Awareness: 40 Questions, 40 Marks, 35 Minutes.
• Data Analysis & Interpretation: 35 Questions, 60 Marks, 45 Minutes.
• English Language: 35 Questions, 40 Marks, 40 Minutes.
• English Language (Letter Writing & Essay): 02 Questions, 25 Marks, 30 Minutes.

Descriptive Paper of English Language (Letter writing & Essay) may be evaluated by an automated scoring mechanism for identifying features related to writing proficiency. This scoring mechanism is duly validated and evaluates proficiency of test takers in writing in English Language in an objective manner as the mechanism does not have any in-built biases for evaluating responses.
