1. Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP)
No of Posts: 5696 Post [RRB Guwahati: 62 posts]
Scale of Pay: Level 02 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix with initial pay of Rs 19900/- plus other allowances as admissible.
Educational Qualification:
- Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic Radio & TV, Electronics Mechanic , Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature and Coil Winder, Mechanic Diesel, Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic. OR Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above. OR
- 3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering. OR
- Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of ITI.
Please Note: Degree in the Engineering disciplines as above will also be acceptable in lieu of Diploma in Engineering.
Age Limit: Candidates age must be between 18 to 30 years as on 1st July 2024. Relaxation of upper age limit is given below
- OBC-NCL: 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
Required Physical and Medical Standard:
- Medical Standard: A1
- Physical Standard: Physically Fit in All Standards
- Vision Standard:
- Distant Vision: 6/6, 6/6 Without glasses with fogging test (must not accept +2D).
- Near Vision: Sn: 0.6. 0.6 Without glasses.
- Must Pass test for Color Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision, Night Vision, Mesopic Vision, etc.

Interested and eligible candidates need to apply online for Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) 2024 through the official RRB Recruitment Portal. Candidates may follow below mentioned steps to apply online. Online Application will start from 20.01.2024 and the last date for apply online is 19/02/2024.

- Click on the “Register Online” and complete the registration process by clicking “New User ? Register Here”.
- In the next stage, click on “Apply Online” Link and Login.
- Fill your all personal and educational details and upload necessary documents.
- Make payment of application fee as per your category and submit the form.
- At the end, take a print out of the application form .
Application Fee:
- SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman / PWDs / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class. (The fee for these categories shall be refunded after deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in First Stage CBT.): Rs. 250/-
- Others: Rs. 500/-
