RRB Recruitment 2024 Recruitment Details

1. Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP)

No of Posts: 5696 Post [RRB Guwahati: 62 posts]

Scale of Pay: Level 02 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix with initial pay of Rs 19900/- plus other allowances as admissible.

Educational Qualification: 

• Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic Radio & TV, Electronics Mechanic , Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature and Coil Winder, Mechanic Diesel, Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic. OR Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above. OR
• 3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering. OR
• Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of ITI.

Please Note: Degree in the Engineering disciplines as above will also be acceptable in lieu of Diploma in Engineering.

Age Limit: Candidates age must be between 18 to 30 years as on 1st July 2024. Relaxation of upper age limit is given below

• OBC-NCL: 3 years
• SC/ST: 5 years

Required Physical and Medical Standard:

• Medical Standard: A1
• Physical Standard: Physically Fit in All Standards
• Vision Standard:
  • Distant Vision: 6/6, 6/6 Without glasses with fogging test (must not accept +2D).
  • Near Vision: Sn: 0.6. 0.6 Without glasses.
  • Must Pass test for Color Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision, Night Vision, Mesopic Vision, etc.

• Click on the “Register Online” and complete the registration process by clicking “New User ? Register Here”.
• In the next stage, click on “Apply Online” Link and Login.
• Fill your all personal and educational details and upload necessary documents.
• Make payment of application fee as per your category and submit the form.
• At the end, take a print out of the application form .

Application Fee:

• SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman / PWDs / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class. (The fee for these categories shall be refunded after deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in First Stage CBT.): Rs. 250/-
• Others: Rs. 500/-
