Post Details of Home & Political Department Assam Recruitment
1. Public Prosecutor
No of posts: 26 Posts
Scale of Pay: Rs. 65000-112000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 18500 + 30% Special Allowance of Basic Pay and other allowances as admissible
Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University of India (established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act) or an Institute recognized by the Government of Assam or by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Service Qualification: Having practice as an Advocate including in the High Court for a period of not less than 8 (eight) years, basically on the criminal side.
2. Additional Public Prosecutor
No of posts: 88 Posts
Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000 – 1,10,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 17500 + 30% Special Allowance of Basic Pay and other allowances as admissible.
Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University of India (established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act) or an Institute recognized by the Government of Assam or by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Service Qualification: Having practice as an Advocate including in the High Court for a period of not less than 7 (seven) years, basically on the criminal side.
3. Special Public Prosecutor
No of posts: 185 Posts
Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000 – 1,10,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 16900 + 30% Special Allowance of Basic Pay and other allowances as admissible
Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University of India (established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act) or an Institute recognized by the Government of Assam or by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Service Qualification: Having practice as an Advocate including in the High Court for a period of not less than 7 (seven) years, basically on the criminal side.
Age (as on 01.01.2023): As per Governments norms; relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST candidates, 3 years for OBC/ MOBC candidates; 10 years for Persons with Disability and for Ex-Servicemen shall be 50 (fifty) years for Unreserved category and shall be relaxed by 3 (three) years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 (five) years for SC/ST candidates.
Domicile: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
