Assam Police Recruitment 2023 Details
1. Sub Inspector (UB)
No of Posts: 144 Posts
Pay scale: Rs. 14000- 60500 (Pay Band No.2) plus Rs. 8700/- Grade Pay plus other Allowances as admissible under the rules.
Required Eligibility: Candidates who have a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Commerce, Science or equivalent stream from a recognized College/ Institution affiliated with a recognized University are eligible.
Age: The age of the candidate should not be less than 20 years and not more than 26 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2003 and on or after 1st January 1997.
2. Sub Inspector (Communication)
No of Posts: 07 Posts
Pay scale: Rs. 14000- 60500 (Pay Band No.2) plus Rs. 8700/- Grade Pay plus other Allowances as admissible under the rules.
Required Eligibility:
- B.Sc. (Electronics Science/ IT/ Computer Science) (10+2+3 duration) or
- 3-year Diploma from State Polytechnic in Electronics and Tele Communication, or Electronics or Information Technology, or Instrumentation or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent with 2 years work experience in the field of Electronics, Telecom, IT or allied environment. or
- 3-year Diploma from State Polytechnic in Electronics and Tele Communication, or Electronics or Information Technology, or Instrumentation or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent and 2 years additional course/courses in Telecommunication /IT /Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or equivalent. or
- Master of Computer Application (MCA) or
- B.E./ B. Tec. in E & TC or Computer or Instrumentation or IT or equivalent qualification in same disciplin.
Age: Candidate should not be more than 24 years and not less than 20 years of age as on 01-01-2023. (Candidate must be born on or before 01-01-2003 and on or after 1999)..
3. Boatman
No of Posts: 58 Posts
Required Eligibility: Candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent from any recognized Board or Council. Candidates should have proficiency in swimming.
Age: The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2005 and on or after 1st January 1998.
4. Constable (AB)
No of Posts: 2302 Posts
Required Eligibility: Candidates who have passed HSLC or Class 10th from any recognized Board or Council.
Age: The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2005 and on or after 1st January 1998.
5. Constable (UB)
No of Posts: 1759 Posts
Required Eligibility: Candidates who have passed HS or Class 12th from any recognized Board or Council.
Age: The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2005 and on or after 1st January 1998.
6. Constable (Communication)
No of Posts: 204 Posts
Required Eligibility: Candidates who have passed HS (Science) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board or Council. The Candidates must have obtained pass marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in the HS (Science) examination to apply for the post.
Age: The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2005 and on or after 1st January 1998.
7. Constable (Communication)
No of Posts: 204 Posts
Required Eligibility: Candidates who have passed HS (Science) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board or Council. The Candidates must have obtained pass marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in the HS (Science) examination to apply for the post.
Age: The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2005 and on or after 1st January 1998.
8. Constable (Carpenter)
No of Posts: 02 Posts
Required Eligibility: Candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent from any recognized Board or Council and passed the prescribed ITI course in trade.
Age: The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2005 and on or after 1st January 1998.
9. Constable (Dispatch Rider)
No of Posts: 02 Posts
Required Eligibility: Candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent from any recognized Board or Council and must possess a valid driving license for LMV, MMV or HMV.
Age: The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2005 and on or after 1st January 1998.
10. Constable (Messenger)
No of Posts: 02 Posts
Required Eligibility: Candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent from any recognized Board or Council and must possess a valid driving license for LMV, MMV or HMV.

11. Craft Instructor

Required Eligibility: Candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent from any recognized Board or Council. Certificate in Bamboo and Cane work/ Tailoring/ Weaving/ Soap making from ITI or such other recognized Institute.

12. Driver Constable
No of Posts: 654 Posts
Required Eligibility: Candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent from any recognized Board or Council and must possess a valid driving license for LMV, MMV or HMV.
Age: The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2005 and on or after 1st January 1998.
13. Grade IV
No of Posts: 142 Posts
Required Eligibility: Candidates who have read up to Class 8th in a recognized School or Institution are eligible for this recruitment. The maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from a recognized Board or Council. Also, candidates will need to have diplomas in respective trades where applicable.
Age:
- Assam Commando Battalions: The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2005 and on or after 1st January 1998.
- Assam Police/DGCD & CGHG: The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 1983 and on or after 1st January 1998.
14. Havilder

Required Eligibility: H.S.L.C or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council
Age: 18 to 40 years as on 01-07-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.07.2005 and on or after 01.07.1983).
15. Laboratory Technician
No of Posts: 02 Posts
Required Eligibility: Passed Laboratory Technician Course from Medical College
Age: 21 to 40 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2002 and on or after 01.01.1983).
16. Nurse
No of Posts: 01 Posts
Required Eligibility: Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) form a Govt. Medical College.
Age: 21 to 40 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2002 and on or after 01.01.1983).
17. Teacher
No of Posts: 04 Posts
Required Eligibility: HSSLC Passed and Jr. Basic Training Certificate.
Age: 21 to 40 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2002 and on or after 01.01.1983).
18. Tractor Operator
No of Posts: 01 Posts
Required Eligibility: HSLC Passed and Tractor Driving License.
Age: 21 to 40 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2002 and on or after 01.01.1983).
19. Safai Karmachari
No of Posts: 34 Posts
Required Eligibility: Candidates who have read up to Class 6th in a recognized School or Institution are eligible for this recruitment. The maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from a recognized Board or Council.
Age: 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1983).
20. Sweeper

Required Eligibility: Minimum Class VI passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from recognized Board or Council.
Age: 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1983).
