ASSAC Assam Recruitment Details
1. Project Scientist
No of Posts: 05 Posts (1 for Forestry, 1 for Wetland & Ecology, 1 for Agriculture and 2 for Fisheries)
Remuneration: Rs. 30,000 + Employer’s part of the CPF Contribution per month
Essential Qualification: 1st Class Master Degree in Remote Sensing & Geoinformatics Agricultural Science ( with specialization in Agronomy or Soil Science/Geography with specialization in Remote Sensing & Geo-informatics/ Botany with specialization in Taxonomy or Ecology or Forestry with specialization in Silviculture/ Zoology with specialization in Fish Biology & Fishery Science or equivalent.
Desirable: Relevant experience in application of remote sensing and GIS with knowledge of Remote Sensing/Geo-informatics/GPS/UAV. Preference will be given to those candidates having relevant working experience.
Maximum Age (as on 1st January, 2023): 35 Years.
2. Project Scientist (IT Specialist)
No of Posts: 03 (1 for Fisheries, 1 for Wetland & Ecology, 1 for Crime area Mapping.)
Remuneration: Rs. 30,000 + Employer’s part of the CPF Contribution per month
Essential Qualification: MSc / M.E. / M.Tech in Remote Sensing / Remote Sensing and GIS / Geoinformatics/Computer Science / Information Technology or Equivalent OR B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology / Geoinformatics / Geomatics or equivalent”.
Desirable: Relevant experience in the field of Web GIS Development with the following Skill sets: Knowledge on OGC complied services handling, API handling, Python, JavaScript, Html, CSS with proficiency in Apache web server configuration, Open layers, Geoserver/Mapserver, Leaflet, Postgre SQL database and ArcGIS arcade etc.
Maximum Age (as on 1st January, 2023): 35 Years.
3. GIS Assistant
No of Posts: 02 (For Fishery Project)
Remuneration: Rs. 20,000 + Employer’s part of the CPF Contribution per month
Essential Qualification: Graduate/Diploma in Remote Sensing/Geo-informatics or equivalent.
Desirable: Relevant experience in the field of application of Remote Sensing and Geo-informatics, map and data handling. Preference will be given to those candidates having relevant working experience
Maximum Age (as on 1st January, 2023): 35 Years.
How to Apply for ASSAC Assam Recruitment
Interested candidates with requisite below mentioned qualification may come up to walk-in-interview for few posts project scientists on contractual basis for a period of 11 (The term can be extended if the project is continued) months under different projects such as Identification and Mapping of Degraded and Encroached Forest Areas, Wetland Mapping, Development of Mobile app and Customized Web portal, Fishery Resource Mapping and Agricultural Assessment at Assam State Space Application Centre (ASSAC).
The interview will be held on 11th March, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. onwards.
Venue: Assam State Space Application Centre Bigyan Bhawan (3rd floor), G.S. Road, Guwahati – 781005, Assam
Candidates shall have to submit Standard form of Application dully filled-in along with Xerox copies of certificates and other testimonials etc. (self certified) and two passport size photographs at the time of reporting for registration and have to produce the original for verification. Candidates having requisite qualification, experience and training will only be allowed for appearing in the interview.
