Gauhati High Court Recruitment Details
Name of post: Stenographer (Grade-II) and Stenographer (Grade-III)
No of posts: 130 Posts
- Stenographer (Grade-II): 34 Posts
- Stenographer (Grade-III): 96 Posts
Scale of Pay:
- Stenographer (Grade-II): Rs.22,000 – Rs.97,000 plus Grade Pay of Rs.9,700 and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
- Stenographer (Grade-III): Rs.14,000 – Rs.60,500 plus Grade Pay of Rs.7,400 and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Required Eligibility:
Stenographer (Grade-II):
Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate from a UGC recognized University as on the date of advertisement.
Stenography: The candidate should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/ Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/ Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit a pass/ completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.
Stenographer (Grade-III):
Educational Qualification: A candidate who has passed the HS or Class 12th examination from any recognized Board/ Council/ University on the date of advertisement is eligible for recruitment.
Stenography: The candidate should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/ Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/ Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit a pass/ completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.
Age(For both posts): The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on the last date of application. Relaxation of Age is as given below.
- OBC/MOBC: 3 Years
- SC: 5 Years
- ST(P) & ST(H): 5
- Years PwBD: 10 Years
