The Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam, Kahilipara has published a recruitment notification regarding recruitment of 5320 Assistant Teachers for Lower Primary School, Assistant Teachers and Science Teacher for Upper Primary School under the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam. The candidates who are qualified in Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET)/ Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be able to apply for Assistant Teacher Posts. Name of the Post: Graduate Teacher
No of Posts: 5320 Posts
- Assistant Teachers for LP : 3887
- Assistant Teacher & Science Teacher for UP: 1433
Scale of Pay: Rs.14000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay and other allowances as admissible.
Required Eligibility:
Assistant Teacher (LP):
Educational Qualification:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002.
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-Year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
TET Qualification: Candidates must have passed Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Lower Primary School.
Assistant Teacher (UP):
Educational Qualification: Graduate from the UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed. or D.Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education).
TET Qualification: Candidates must have passed Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Upper Primary School.
Science Teacher (UP):
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. from the UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed. or D.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed. (Special Education).
TET Qualification: Candidates must have passed Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Upper Primary School (Science and Mathematics).
Age Limit: Candidates age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2023. Category wise relaxation of age is as given below.
How to Apply for DEE Assam Recruitment
Interested and Eligible candidates shall apply online in the official website of DEE, Assam, i.e. www.dee.assam.gov.in. The steps of Apply online for Directorate of Elementary Education Assam Recruitment has been given below. The online apply link for the Assistant Teacher and Science Teacher for Lower Primary and Upper Primary School will be available from 17th February, 2023 to 1st March, 2023. Follow the below given steps for apply online.

- Click on the Online Application Link.
- Now, the official web portal of DEE, Assam will load in the new tab of your browser.
- In that portal, you will get the option to register yourself.
- After registration, you have to provide all your asked details.
- After that, you have to upload your documents.
- After the successful completion of all steps, your application will be submitted.
- Also, you will receive an acknowledgement copy of your submission.
- Keep that acknowledgement copy for future use.
Documents need to upload at the time of Online Apply:
- Passport Size Photograph.
- HSLC Admit Card.
- HSSLC Mark-sheet and Certificate.
- Degree Mark-sheet and Certificate.
- Any other Mark-sheet and Certificate of higher education.
- D EI Ed/ B Ed Marksheet (1st Year & 2nd Year) and Certificate.
- Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC).
- Document in support of Permanent Resident of Assam.
- Certificate NCC (Only B or C Category only), Sports & Cultural (if represented state at National Level).
- Certificate and Mark sheet of ATET/ CTET.
- Candidates with disabilities will have to enclose certificates of disabilities issued by Govt. authority.
- Certificate of Ex-servicemen issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board.
- Scanned Signature.

Please Note: District-wise, Subject-wise separate Merit Lists will be prepared for each category of the post.
Other Criteria for DEE Graduate Teacher
The candidate who has completed the 18-month D. El. Ed. course from the NIOS (ODL) will be treated at par and equally with the other candidates who have completed the 2-year course for the purpose of this recruitment process.
The candidates having Not Clear (NC) status against any qualification will not be eligible to apply.
The candidates having qualified in ATET/CTET for LPS and Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) can also apply for the post of regular teacher in LP Schools but the person so appointed as a regular teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six-month bridge course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of such appointment as regular teacher.
