Applications on prescribed format are invited from the eligible Indian citizens for the following posts under Population Research Centre (Sponsored by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India) in Gauhati University for the Post of Field Investigator and Research Fellow -II.

Post Details of Gauhati University Recruitment 2021

1. Field Investigator

No. of Post: 01

Salary: Rs. 22,000-87,000/- + G.P. of Rs. 9,700/-

Education Qualification: At least 2nd class Post Graduate degree in Demography/ Population Studies/Statistics/ Economics/ Mathematics/ Sociology/ Social Work/ Psychology/ Anthropology/ Geography. Must have experience in collection, analysis of data, handling of Software (SPSS, R etc) and programming.

 

2. Research Fellow -II

No. of Post: 01

Salary: Rs. 25,000/- p.m.

Education Qualification: At least 2nd class Post Graduate degree in Demography/ Population Studies/Statistics/ Economics/ Mathematics/ Sociology/ Social Work/ Psychology/ Anthropology/ Geography. One year of experience post qualification (i.e. after Post Graduation). Relaxation in deserving cases. Must have experience in collection, analysis of data, handling of Software (SPSS, R etc) and programming.

Age Limit: Candidates for both the posts must not be above 38 years on the date of application.

Completed applications in the prescribed form along with necessary enclosures must reach The Registrar, Gauhati University, Guwahati-14 latest by 10/09/2021.

Two (2) copies of the application with all testimonials are needed to be submitted. The envelope containing the application form must indicate the name of the post & advertisement no.

Application Fee

Candidates for the posts will be required to pay an amount of Rs.500/-(Rupees Five Hundred) only by Demand Draft in favour of the “Registrar, Gauhati University” payable at SBI, G.U. Branch as an application fee for the post.
