Assam Govt 1 lakh Job As per the commitment made by the BJP led State Government at the time of Election Campaign the Govt. is now in action mood. A high-level committee has been set up for creation of 1 lakh jobs in Assam is eyeing need-based and result-oriented recruitments in the state.

Addressing a press meet on Guwahati on Tuesday, Assam State Finance Minister Ajanta Neog, had announced that a high level committee will set up to look after the whole recruitment process. The committee will be headed by the Finance Minister of Assam as Chairperson. She also said that an initial instruction has been passed to all the departments under Govt. of Assam to submit a list of vacancies as per their requirements in their respective departments within a week. After getting the details of the vacancies of any department the committee will scrutiny about the vacant posts submitted by the concerned department and after it the details as well as the requirements will be discussed in the next meeting of the committee. She said the below mentioned lines in the press meet held tomorrow.

“We are looking at need-based and result-oriented filling up of vacancies to help the respective departments to be progressive in the years to come. We have asked the departments to identify the vacancies and prioritise the posts that need to be filled first. Such a process will be fair and transparent but will take time owing to the scrutiny exercise,” Neog said. The recruitment process will be started soon.

It also cleared by the state Govt. in the first Cabinet meeting held on May 11, 2021 that a panel will be set up to look about the Assam Govt. 1 lakh vacancies recruitment. The panel will submit its recommendations after a month and a draft would be prepared based on them.

The state government will decide the recruitment process, interview process and dates of interviews after the high-level committee submits its report to the chief minister. This time the state Govt. will ensure 100% transparency as well as merit based selection of candidates. After its recruitment drive a merit list will be generated either for interview or for appointment.

Few days ago Assam Sate Panchayat & Rural Development (PNRD) Minister Ranjit Kumar Das had also mentioned about the huge vacant post in the PNRD department of Assam 2021. Which will be going to fill up with in few days. Around 3,287 Grade 3 and Grade 4 posts are vacant in the Assam PNRD Department. Few of them are contractual and others are permanent. Meanwhile, the Assam State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu informed that the education department was contemplating the constitution of a separate employment board to fill up vacancies across government institutions. “We are discussing the matter as we have to fill up posts in the engineering colleges, newly established government model colleges and polytechnic institutes,” Pegu said. And a huge number of vacancies are also yet to fill up in the Primary and Secondary schools of Assam.
