AHSEC Result 2021 update about Evaluation Formula

AHSEC Result 2021 – Due to current pandemic scenario the AHSEC HS Final Exam has been Cancelled. Assam State Govt. Education Minister had announced that the AHSEC HS Final Exam Result 2021 will be announced before 31st July, 2021. State Govt. sets up a committee to find out the evaluation formula.

The evaluation formula to be adopted for assessing the HS Final year students would vary for different categories of students, hinted the high power evaluation committee led by Prof Dipak Kumar Sharma. after holding the first round of talks with the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) here today. The CASE formula and evaluation process of other state hoards of the country are being studied by the expert committee, and final reports would be submitted to the Government of Assam within the stipulated time, the panel stated.



Another round of discussion between the AHSEC and the nine-member committee will be held on June 24, 2021.

After a three-hour long discussion at the AHSEC office, committee chairman Prof Sharma said the entire marks assessment mechanism would be merit-based and student-friendly, considering the situation in which exams had to he cancelled.

This year, a total of 2,49,812 students were supposed to appear in the HS Final exams. Of this, 1,91,860 students are from Arts stream, 18,440 from commerce. 38,431 from science and 1,081 are from vocational stream.

AHSEC Result 2021 Evaluation Method

The students are further divided in some other categories, including regular students, students appearing in one paper. reappearing in four papers. and students reappearing in all papers.



The AHSEC has four streams following separate academic curriculums. Similarly, there are different categories of students in each stream. So the evaluation formula to he designed for each category would be different. The students, however, can rest assured that the approach would be merit-based and student-friendly Prof Sharma said.

The committee is however yet to take a call oh retention of the ranking system in this year’s results. AHSEC chairman Rukma Gohain Baruah said 80 percent work of deciding the assessment for HS Finals has been completed.

The AHSEC had indicated that it was relying on the marks of HSLC, unit tests, annual assessments conducted in the beginning of 2021 and other school exams conducted from time to time.

“Even if the annual exams could not be held due to Covid, continuous evaluations were being conducted by the academic institutions. We are sure of finding a way acceptable to all.” he added.
