Assam Polytechnic Admission Test 2021 For Admission into Polytechnic Diploma Courses for Session 2021-22

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Assam has released notification for Admission into Polytechnic Diploma Course for session 2021-22.  Interested Candidates may go through the notification and apply online for Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) 2021. The details of the admission procedure are mentioned below:

What is Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) in Assam ?

Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT)  is a common entrance examination for candidates who have applied for admission into the Polytechnic Diploma Courses in various Government Polytechnic Colleges in Assam and Polytechnic Colleges outside Assam (against seat allotted by Govt of India, Assam Energy Institute, Sibsagar) . The Type of Questions for the test will be Multiple choice questions (MCQs). Subjects for the test will be Mathematics and Science of 10th standard. Total Marks for the test 100 Marks. Centers allotted for Test are various Selected centers at Mangaldoi, Tezpur and in Government Polytechnics/ Institutions of Assam.

Required Education Qualification: Candidate must pass the HSLC or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subject with-

• 40% marks (average) in Mathematics and Science for General Candidates.
• 35% marks (average) in Mathematics and Science for Schedule Caste Candidates.
• 33% marks (average) in Mathematics and Science for Scheduled Tribes Candidates.

Age : The upper age limit relaxation for this PAT 2021 is given below as per the categories-

• General/OBC: 20 years 6 months as on 31.12.2021.
• Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribe: 23 years 6 months as on 31.12.2021.

Application Fee: 

An application fee of Rs.500/- + bank charges as applicable is to be paid using “State Bank Collect” which facilitates payment through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. Payment may also be made in cash at any State Bank of India after generating the Cash Deposit Form from “State Bank Collect’ in final step of Online Application. Further instructions will be available during the online application process. Candidates are required to carefully follow the steps while registering online.

• Date of online application starts: 20th May 2021
• Last date of online application: 30th June 2021
• Issue of admit cards: 16th to 20th July 2021
• Date of PAT 2021: 25th July 2021, Time of Test: 10 AM to 12 Noon (2 Hours)
