National Talent Search (NTS) Examination for 2019-2020

National Talent Search (NTS) Examination for 2019-2020 – Applications are invited from the intending students studying in Class-X for the State Level of National Talent Search (NTS) Examination for the year 2019-20 sponsored by National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT), New Delhi. Eligibility for National Talent Search (NTS) Exam 2019:

  • Students of Class-X studying In Government, Local Body, Govt. Aided, Private Schools are eligible to appear in the examination.

About National Talent Search (NTS) Exam 2019:

  • National Talent Search scheme is a flagship activity of National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT). The purpose of the scheme is to identify the talented students and nurture their talent on the basis of examination conducted. Scholarship will be awarded as per NCERT Rules.

National Talent Search (NTS) Scholarship:

  • About two thousand scholarships are awarded for different stages of education as follows:
  • Scholarship of  1250/- per month for Class XI to XII.
  • Scholarship of 2000/- per month for Undergraduates and Post-graduates.
  • The scholarship amount for Ph.D. is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

Selection Test:

  • There will be two stage selection processes for award of scholarship.
  • Stage-I (State Level) selection will be done by State /UTs and those who qualify Stage-I, will be eligible to appear for Stage-II (National Level) examination conducted by NCERT.
  • State level qualifying marks for candidates from General category is 40% in each paper and for candidates from SC, ST, PH is 32% in each paper.

Selection Test of National Talent Search (NTS) Examination for 2019:

  • A written examination will be held on 3rd November, 2019 for selection of candidates under the NTS Scheme.
  • There are two papers Paper I – Mental Ability Test (MAT): 100 marks,
  • Paper II – Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT): 100 marks.
  • This is OMR based exam. Marking each item in both the tests shall carry one mark each.
  • There will be no negative marking in either of the tests.

Reservation:

  • Assam State quota is 205
  • 15% Scholarship will be reserved for students belonging SC category.
  • 5% Scholarship will be reserved for students belonging SC category and
  • 4% for Physically Challenged Group of Students.
  • 27% for students belonging OBC category (Non-Creamy Layer)

Important Date of National Talent Search (NTS) Examination for 2019:

  • Last date of apply is 10th of October, 2019.
  • Date of Examination is on 3rd November, 2019 (Sunday).
  • E-admit Card will be issue from 15th October, 2019 onwards.

How to Apply & Deposit Fee for National Talent Search (NTS) Examination for 2019:

  • The application process of National Talent Search (NTS) Examination has made ONLINE method only. Applicants have to be paid the exam fee through Debit/Credit card. online SBI through the Website: madhyamik.assam.gov.in. Payment gateway on or before 10th October, 2019.

E-admit Card Download for National Talent Search (NTS) Exam:

  • E-admit Card for the candidate will be available online. The candidate may download his/her admit card by putting his/her application number or name on or after 15th October’ 2019. If any candidate fails to submit required information or deposit required fee. their application will be rejected and no admit card will issued against them.

Examination Fee for National Talent Search (NTS) Exam:

  • 250/- per student for General Category.
  • 200/- per student for SC/ST Category.





Examination Centres:

  • NTS Examination will be held at 81 Nos. of centres across Assam including all the District Exam centres may be increased or decreased depending upon the number of candidates. The list of examination centres are shown below.
