The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited online application from candidates for Indian Economic Service (IES)/ Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination to be held on 28th June 2019 for recruitment to the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS). Candidates selected are recruited to reputed positions in various departments of Govt Of INDIA

Name of Examination: Indian Economic Service (IES)/ Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination

No of posts: 65 posts (Indian Economic Service – 32, Indian Statistical Service – 33)

Age: Candidates age must be in between 21 years and 30 years on 1st August, 2019. Relaxation in the upper age limit as per Govt. of India rules mentioned in notice.

Educational Qualification:

a) Indian Economic Service: candidate must have obtained a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a University incorporated by of an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time.

b) Indian Statistical Service: candidate must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subject or a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time.

Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for Indian Economic Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2019 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.
