Pant National Institute of HE&SD Recruitment For JRF and Field Assistant – Walk-In-Interview is scheduled for recruitment of project based temporary positions of Junior Research Fellow/ Junior Project Fellow (JRF/JPF) (02 nos.) and Field Assistant (01 no.) under different fellowships/projects at NERC Itanagar (A.P.).

i) Name of the Post: Himalayan Junior Research Fellow/Project Fellow
No of posts: 1
Remuneration:Rs. 25,000/pm +HRA for HJRF &16,000/pm+ HRA for HJPF
Requisite Qualification & Experience:
- First Class masters degree in Environmental Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Environmental Engineering/ Botany/ Forestry/Natural Resources/Remote Sensing & GIS / Geography/ and any other relevant fields
- Desirable: Experience of working in remote areas of North Eastern Himalaya, Skilled in writing research reports and papers, Skilled in RS & GIS tools.
Nature of Duties:
Field and laboratory based research work which includes field data collection, survey, data analysis, and report writing. Development of baseline data on socio-economic
ii) Name of the Post: Himalayan Junior Research Fellow/Project Fellow

Remuneration:Rs. 25,000/pm +HRA for HJRF &16,000/pm+ HRA for HJPF
Requisite Qualification & Experience:
- First Class masters degree in Environmental Science/Water Resources/Soil & Water Conservation/Geography/ Geology/Remote sensing & GIS, any other relevant fields Or
- B.E./B. Tech in Environmental Engineering/ Agricultural Engineering/ Civil Engineering
- Desirable: Experience in writing research reports, dissertation reports, Experience in RS & GIS, hydrological modeling, Physically fit to work in Himalayan Mountains
Nature of Duties:
Collection of data on hydropower development, analysis of hydropower related environmental policies, future scenario and mitigation measures data base generation and analysis, reporting/Presentation.
iii) Name of the Post: Field Assistant (FA)

Remuneration:Rs. 25,000/pm +HRA for HJRF &16,000/pm+ HRA for HJPF
Requisite Qualification & Experience:
- Graduate in Science or engineering (Any branch)
- Desirable: Physically fit to work in the Himalayan Mountains. Experience in Rural Development related works
Nature of Duties:
Field based research, data base generation. Helping the project staff in implementing various project activities
