Post- Matric & Pre-Matric Scholarships for students belong to Scheduled Caste students for the year 2018-19

It is for information to all concerned that applications for Post- Matric& Pre -Matric Scholarships for students belong to Scheduled Caste students are invited for the year 2018-19 through National Scholarship Portal (NSP) www.scholarships.gov.in as per decision taken by the Government of Assam. Proposal will be entertained through on line portal only for students studying Govt/Govt-aided/Gov recogritzed/Madhyamik/middle/Primaty School/university/Higher secondary/colleges including medical college,Technical colleges etc.

All eligible students belonging to SC communities of State. studying in various educational institutions inside & outside the State of Assam are requested to submit applications for Scholarship for the year 2019-19 through the aforesaid website. The applications will have to be submitted within 25/01/2019 positively. There will be no extension of time under any circumstances.

Verification of online applications will be conducted at two levels:

(1) Institutions (School /College/etc.) and (2) State (Directorate).

The last date for completion of verification of online application at the Institution level is 10/02/2019 and for State level is 28/02/2019. Institutions which are yet to register themselves In the NSP are requested to do so immediately .Guidelines and FAQs are uploaded on the NSP which may be consulted by applications and institutions.

The scholars have to first register on NSP. During registration they are required to upload bank passbook and after successful registration they aregiven application Id and password on their registered mobile number.

All scholars( Both Fresh & Renewal applicants) applying on NSP will use the NEW USER tab( not Renewal Tab) as Assam is using the portal for the first time. The “Renewal’ tab will be functional only from the next financial year.

All the Heads of Educational Institutions are requested to follow the guidelines issued by Govt. of India for selection of students of their respective institutions which is available in the website www.scholarships.gov.in.

Institutions are hereby informed that verification of application that include checking of documents viz. Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, etc. is the responsibility of the Head of the Institution and he or she wit be responsible/liable for any false or incorrect information. It is also the responsibility of the Head of the Institutions to mobilize online applications of students and after verification of applications within the dateline, submit the hard copy of the approved vented list to the office of the undersigned as early as possible, and not later than 1502-2019.

Hence, the earlier advertisement notice against the above mention scheme vide no. DSCi Plan proposakPMS105(2017-18/58 dtd. 25th October/2018 & DSC/ ProposallPreMS1857/ 07/P1-1112012/88 dtd. 25/04/2018 have been cancelled. Further the scholars who have already applied on offline, they are again requested to apply online process through NSP website.
