Centrally Sponsored Post Matric Scholarship to SC students of Assam for the year 2018-19

Applications are invited from Scheduled Castes (SC) students of State pursuing Post- Matric recognized courses Outside & Inside the State for Centrally Sponsored – Post —Matric Scholarship to SC students of Assam for the year 2018-19.

• The applicants inside the State are requested to submit application Forms to the Project Director, ITDP of concerned District through Educational institution.
• The applicants outside the State are requested to submit their application directly to the Directorate of Welfare of SC, Assam, Guwahati-06 within office hours on or before 15th December/2018.
• The PD, ITDPs are instructed to collect the Post- Matric Scholarship Forms from the Directorate of Welfare of SC, Assam, Guwahati-06 within the office hours on or before 9th November/2018 and distribute the same to the educational institutions of their jurisdiction.
• The last date of submission of fill up application Forms by the Educational institutions to concerned PD, ITDP is on or before 30th November,2018 and submit the Post- Matric proposals by the concerned PD, ITDP to the undersigned on or before 15th December, 2018.

Centrally Sponsored Post Matric Scholarship to SC students of Assam for the year 2018-19

Conditions of Eligibility of students:

1. The scholarship is open to Scheduled Castes student of the State.
2. The scholarship will be given for the study of all recognized post- matriculation courses.
3. Institutions of National importance/Central University/ State University/ Autonomous colleges recognized by UGC/ Deemed Universities/Private Universities recognized by either State or Centre with ” A” level or equivalent accreditation by NAAC/Recognized schools, colleges for classes XI& XI I/Diploma granting Institutions as recognized by State& UT Governments/ Distance Education in Central& State Universities/Private Professional Institution affiliated to either a recognized Central or State University/ Institutions affiliated & approved by the appropriate bodies like MCl/AICTE etc or any regulatory body established by State/ Centre provided that where a particular number of seats for a particular course have been recognized by the concerned regulatory authority.
4. Scholarships will be paid to the students whose parents / guardians income all sources does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Fifty Thousand) only.
5. Income certificate of the parents/guardians will be issued by the proper competent authority. ( as Annexure-II of PMS Form)
