  • Replying to a question by Aminul Islam of AIUDF in the Assam state Assembly Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary stated that “The total number of persons marked as ‘D’ in the electoral roll published after the intensive revision in 1997 was 2,02,092 as per records of Election Department. The total number of persons marked as ‘D’ in the electoral roil after the intensive revision in 2005 was 1,60,051. The total number of persons marked as ‘D’ in the draft electoral roll published as on September 15, 2018 is 1,19,559.”
