CTET Notification 2018, Apply Online at ctet.nic.in – The CENTRAL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (CTET) is the process of selecting eligible candidates to teach the students of Central Schools. The exam of CTET will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE. The candidates who have qualified the CTET exam 2018 will be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII.



The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2018 Exam to the Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi.

How to Apply For CTET Notification 2018 :

Candidates can apply for CTET 2018 ‘ON-LINE’ through CTET website www.ctet.nic.in w.e.f. 01-08-2018 to 27-08-2018

  • The candidate applying for CTET is required:-
    • To go through the Information Bulletin carefully with the entire requirement therein.
    • To satisfy eligibility to appear in the examination.
    • To submit On-line application by giving full particulars by accessing the CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in.
    • To write complete mailing address with Postal Pin Code at the time of applying.
    • Before submission of application form, decide the mode of payment of fee.
    • To keep the Confirmation Page along with the original copy of E-Challan (In case fee is paid through E-Challan) of Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank for future reference.
    • If a candidate submits on-line more than one application, his/her candidature shall be liable to be cancelled and the candidate may also be debarred for future examination(s). No communication will be sent in this regard.
  • Method of Submission of Online Application Form for CTET 2018 :
    • STEP 1: Log on to CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in.
    • STEP 2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same.
    • STEP 3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No.
    • STEP 4: Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature
    • STEP 5: Pay examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card
    • STEP 6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.
  • Online Uploading of Scanned Images for CTET 2018:
    • Uploading of scanned Photo and Signature are mandatory.
    • Upload scanned photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format.
    • Size of scanned photograph should be between 10 to 100 KB
    • Image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
    • Size of scanned signature should be between 3 to 30 KB.
    • Image Dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm (length) x 1.5 cm (height).

ELIGIBILITY FOR CTET 2018 ONLINE APPLY :

The following persons are eligible for appearing in the CTET 

    • Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage
      • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed) (by whatever name known)
        OR
      • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed) (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
        OR
      • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
        OR
      • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (D. El. Ed) (Special Education)*.
        OR
      • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed) (by whatever name known).

  • Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage
    • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed) (by whatever name known).
      OR
    • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
      OR
    • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
      OR
    • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
      OR
    • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
      OR
    • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.
      OR
    • Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.
