- An Assamese couple Bhargab Sarma and his wife Dr Samyami Chowdhury Sarma based in UK, were invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace recently. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the IInd, hosted the party at Buckingham Palace.
- Union Minister of State for Communication Manoj Sinha said that the Telecom Ministry has spent Rs 10,834 crore on projects in the North-east region.
