Name of the Post: Junior Assistant

Number of  Posts: 18 posts (SC- NIL, ST(P)-3, ST(H)-1,OBC/MOBC-3,UR-11)

Scale of  pay: Rs.14000 – 49000 + Grade pay of Rs.6200 and other allowances as admissible under the rules.

Age: candidates must not be less then 18 years and more then 43 years of age as on 01.01.2018 , Upper age limit is relaxed 5 years ST/SC as per existing Rules  will be admissible.

Educational qualification:

  • Candidates must have passed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or any examination declared  equivalent by the government and
  • 6(six) month diploma in Computer Application / Knowledge from an institute recognized by the govt.

Deputy Commissioner Nagaon Recruitment For Junior Assistant 2018 Application Fees & Selection Procedure:

Application Fee:

Candidates pay fee as deposited by Treasury Challan in to the  Head of account “ 0070-Other administrative Services-(application fees etc)” For

  • General category-Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred fifty) and
  • SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/ Category- Rs.150/-(Rupees one hundred fifty only) and
  • Candidates having BPL Card-Nill.

Selection procedure:

Candidates applying for the post of Junior Assistant will have to appear in written test of 200 marks comprising of

  • General English (60 marks) ,
  • General knowledge (60 marks),and
  • Quantitative aptitude (15 marks) and
  • Computer (theory)(25 marks) and
  • Language skill in Assamese (40 marks) there will also be a separate computer proficiency (practical) test for 50 marks both in English and Assamese .

  • Application should be sent through post or delivered office hours  by hand to the deputy Commissioner, Nagaon, PO-Nagaon, PIN 782001, Dist – Nagaon (Assam) ,
  • Post applied for shall be superscribed on the sealed envelope.
  • Applicant shall submit the self attested copies are following documents along with application:
    • Admit card(age proof), pass certificate and marks sheet from HSLC onwards.
    • Permanent Residence Certificate
    • Employment Exchange Card.
    • Caste Certificate.
    • Original copy of Treasury Challan of application fees payment.
    • BPL  card copy if applicable.
    • 3(three) copies of recent passport size photograph.
    • Diploma in computer knowledge.
    • A Self addressed envelope with postal stamp of Rs.5.00 only.

  2. Selection Committee will be constituted to select the candidates for the post of Jr. Assistant. The committee has the right
