Assam Polytechnics Admission Test, PAT 2018 Admission Notification By DTE -Online applications are invited from the candidates who are Permanent Resident of Assam for registration to appear in the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) 2018 for admission into Diploma Courses in the following State Government Polytechnics of Assam and Polytechnics outside Assam(against seat allotted by the Govt. of India)/ Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Sivasagar( a Govt. of India Institute) for the session 2018-19.

Assam Polytechnics Admission Test, PAT 2018 Admission Notification By DTE How To Apply and Application Fee:

Assam Polytechnic Online Apply:

Candidates are to apply on. by logging into www.dte.assam.gov.in and click on “Online Application for PAT-2018“.
The registration will start from 20/03/2018 and will remain open till 30/04/2018.
Candidates are requested to read the instructions carefully in the Downloadable information Brochure before filling the Online Application form.
In case of difficulty for applying online, candidates may take assistance from their nearest Polytechnic/ Institution mentioned above at SI.No. 1 to 21.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs.400, [plus bank charges as applicable) is to be paid using “‘State Bank Collect” which facilitates payment through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. Payment may also be made in cash at any State Bank of India after generating the Cash Deposit Form from ‘State Bank Collect’ in final step of Online Application. Further instructions will be available during the online application process. Candidates are required to carefully follow the steps while registering online.

Assam Polytechnics Admission Test, PAT 2018 Admission Notification By DTE Important Points:

Candidate will not be permitted to take admission without Permanent Resident Certificate [PRC] after clearing Polytechnic Admission Test-2018. Therefore, the candidates are requested to keep the PRC ready well in advance for admission.
Reservation: Reservation of seat will be as per Govt. of Assam rules. For certain categories candidates will have to furnish certificates from the competent authorities as follows:.
Freedom Fighter: For Grandson/Granddaughter of Freedom fighters [Both Paternal & Maternal]
Certificate from the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. Assam.
A direct Relationship certificate of the candidate with the Freedom Fighter from the Deputy Commissioner or his authorised official of the district where the Freedom Fighter
Retired Defense Personnel (For son/daughter of Retired Defense Personnel): Certificate from the Director, Rajyik Sainik, Board, Assam.
Central Govt Employees: For son/daughter of Central Govt. and Central Govt. Public Sector Linder taking serving in the State who are not Permanent Resident of Assam, but posted in Assam for not more than five years preceding the last date fixed for submitting Applicant shall furnish following certificate from the head of the office where he is serving-
- That his/her pare. are not Permanent Resident of Assam, but from other State of India
- Date from which serving in Assam, of his /her pare. in Assam as employee of Central Govt./ Undertakings.
- Certificate from tits school/college the candidate last attended.
For students of Moran Community: Certificate issued by the Assam Moran Sobha countersigned by Deputy Commissioner/Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) of the concern District.
For Differently Abled Candidates: Identity Card as Differently-abled Issued by Social
Welfare Department Disability up to 40% and not exceeding 80% will be only eligible.
Sports quota: For admission against sports quota at State Polytechnics of Assam, the Candidates are to submit application after appearing in the admission test along with copies of marksheet of qualifying examination,PAT Admit Card and detailed particulars regarding their level of participations in the sport along with a copy of certificate from the Director of Sports, Assam .
N.C.C. Category: For admission against NCC quota candidates are to submit application after appearing in the admission test along with Copies of marksheet of qualifying examination, PAT Admit.
- Card and detail particulars along with the documents of Camp Attendance (if any) regarding their level of participations and a copy of certificate from the Director of NCC, Assam. The application against Sports and NCC quota,is to reach the office of the Director of Technical Education, Assam, Kahillpara, Guwahati-19 within 10 [ten] days from the dale of Examination of Admission Test 2018.

Ministry of Human Resource Development DAHRDI, Govt of India Special scheme for Persons with Disabilities:

25 nos. of seats in different disciplines at Assam Engineering Institute, Guwahati are resolved exclusively under Person With [PWD] Scheme of MHRD in addition to normal reservation for differently abled candidates, subject to approval of the Govt. of India and the following conditions-
- Candidates must qualify in Polytechnic Admission Test -2018.
- Must be Permanent Resident of Assam and have appeared/Passed HSLC or its equivalent examination in a single sitting with 35% marks in Mathematics and Science in aggregate.
- The categories of PWDs to be considered for admissions : visually Impaired[VI], Hearing Impaired [HI] and Orthographically Handicapped [OH]
- The minimum disability is 40% and not exceeding 80%.
- The upper age limit is 23 years as on 1st August 2018:

The Ministry of Human Resource Development,Govt of India, will sponsor the such candidates with disability with Scholarships, Book grant, Educational Materials, Uniforms Free Boarding and lodging for Boarders and Travelling allowances for day scholars, Exemption from Payment of Admission Fee, Tuition Fee, excluding Examination fee etc.
