ASSAM – NORTHEAST CURRENT AFFAIRS
- The sponsor of the Assam Valley Literary Award, Williamson Magor Education Trust has announced the names Assam Valley Literary Award winners for the 2017. The winners of the 2017 award, are poet Sananta Tanti and novelists Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi and Dr Rita Chowdhury.
- Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) signs MoU with Arya Transport to avail 200 luxury Mercedes buses with toilet and pantry facilities, that will run across Assam.
- A total of 200 MoUs were signed in the Advantage Assam Global Investors’ Summit two day event, worth more than Rs. 1 Lakh Crore.
- Bharatiya Janata Party to make alliance with the newly-formed National Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) for the upcoming Assembly election in Nagaland.
- World wetlands Day was observed in Manipur. The theme for the World wetlands Day is “Wetlands for a sustainable future”
