NEC Scholarship For Professional Courses Apply Before 15th November 2017

NEC Scholarship For Professional Courses -Advertisement for Awarding Scholarship (Fresh) under NEC Scheme 2017-18 Subject to release of fund from NEC (Under the scheme ‘Financial support to the students of NER for Higher Professional Courses “) Online Application at www.dteassam.in are invited from the students of Assam who fulfill the following general criteria for NEC MERIT SCHOLARSHIP.

NEC Scholarship For Professional Courses General Conditions of Eligibility:

The income ceiling of the beneficiary’s parents/ guardians should not exceed Rs 4.5 Lacs par annum. An income in certificate original from competent authority must be submitted with hard copy of application form
The minimum qualifying marks to apply for the Scholarship shall be 70% in PCM/PCB lor General/OBC/ MOBC and 60% tn PCM/ PCB for SC/ST candidates In the relevant qualifying examination for Diploma. Degree and Post Graduate courses.
The candidate must nave a valid Bank Account (Preferably in SBI) and details to be submitted along with the application (Bank Name, A/G No Branch Name and IFS Code).
The NEC Merit Scholarship to be disbursed through DBT system to the beneficiaries.

The stipend and book grants are open only to a candidate who is a permanent resident of Slate of Assam The Residential Proof/ Certificate should be issued by the Deputy Commissioner of the district Certificate from any oilier authority will not be accepted However for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe applicants, the Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority may be considered as PRC
The candidate should posses the relevant qualification from any recognized institution. A copy of certificate from the Institution of study must be submitted by the candidate
The student must not be in receipt of any other financial assistance from any other sources. A sponsored candidate under full employment during the period of study shall not be eligible to receive the stipend An undertaking is to be submitted by the candidate that he/she has not avail any other scholarship other than NEC Ment Scholarship.
Financial assistance of Stipend-‘ Book-Grants shall be admissible to students taking admission in to the 1 st year/entry level of the courses as shown below during the year 2017-1 8 specified in the list of subject and courses mall institutes recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development/ respective Ministry of the Govt of India.

The Stipend/Book-Grant shall be tenable for the prescribed duration of a course A student failing to pass in a particular year shall not receive further stipend till he/she passes the specific year of the course. The Institution shall certify to that effect and make specific recommendation there to.
Candidates holding service are not covered by the scheme.
A Non-duplication Certificate as prescribed m the application form to be duty signed by the competent authority in every case.
Selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit in all cases and also to be restricted as per budget allocation of NEC.

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC: Reservations shall be as per norms followed by Government

NEC Scholarship For Professional Courses How to apply :

Intending candidates must apply online at www.dteassam.in in between 10th October 2017 to 15th November 2017 and take printout after online submission and submit it to the Principal/ Head of the Institution, along with the necessary copy of certificates/ testimonials.

The Principal Head of the Institution are to send the documents to the Director of Technical Education. Assam. Kahilipara, Guwahati- 781019 on or before 30th November 2017 positively.

Advertisement for renewal of Scholarship under NEC Scheme 2017-18 subject to release of fund from NEC (Under the Scheme “Financial support to the students of NER for Higher Professional Courses”)

Applications are invited from the Fresh awardees of 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 batches for Renewal of NEC Merit Scholarship during the year 2017-18 subject to availability at the fund and fulfillment of the following conditions.

The candidate must have a valid Bank Account (Preferable in SBl) and details to be submitted along with the application (Bank Name. A/C No Branch Name and IFS Code).
A Passport size photograph must be submitted with the a application form.
A Non-duplication Certificate as prescribed m the application form to be duly signed by the competent authority in every case.
Renewal of Stipend and Book-Grant is generally for a period of one year. Stipend holders must apply for renewal of stipend and book-grant on yearly basis.
While applying online for renewal the applicant shall fill up the renewal form completely and correctly After submission, the applicant will have to take a print-out as generated by the system. The Print-out along with copies of Mark-streets. Pass Certificate for the previous year must be submitted to the Principal Head of the Educational Institutions for recommendation Ph. D/M Phil students white applying for renewal shall enclose the latest progress report from the Guide’ Supervisor countersigned by the Registrar.

The Principal’Head of the Institution while recommending a case for renewal of stipend and Book-Grant shall dearly indicate whether the stipend holders has been promoted to the next year/class or not Stipend holders who have not been promoted to the next class shall not be forwarded for renewal by the Principal’ Head of the Institution Stipend holders who are not promoted to the next year class will not be considered for further renewal and name of such stipend holders shall be removed from the records.

In case of a Stipend holder who failed in one or more subject but is promoted to the next year/class. he/she will be considered for renewal provided the stipend holder clears all the back papers in the next examination In all such cases tor renewal a certificate in the regard from the head of the Institution will accompany the request for subsequent renewal.
Request for renewal of Stipend holders who have changed their subject of study/ changed their Institution of study will not be entertained even if the students has availed the stipend for the previous course or part of it.
Request for renewal of Stipend and Book-Grant in respect of stipend holder who discontinues their study for any period, for any reason other than on medical reason, will not be entertained Stipend holders who discontinue their study on medical ground must submit a medical certificate from the District Medical Officer/ Head of the Medical Institutions in this regard, dearly indicating the course and period of such break in study while applying for renewal.
Extension of Stipend and Book-Grant beyond the prescribed period of study will not be entertained.
M Phil, stipend is sanctioned for a period of one and half year and is extendable by a period of six months/ one semester based on the recommendation of the Head of the Institution.
Ph D stipend and book-grants are sanctioned normally for a period of 3 years, which is extendable for another one year based on the recommendation of the Head of the institution.
Final year stipend holders wishing to draw the final disbursement of the stipend and book-grant after completion of their courses.
Directly from the Stale Govt will be required to submit a recommendation in this regard from title Head of the Institution.
The renewal application should reach the of fee of the undersigned from the Principal Head of the Institution on or before 30th November 2017 positively.
