Public Health Engineering Department, Government of Assam with assistance from the World Bank is currently engaged in implementation and sustainable maintenance of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project in seven districts of Jorhat, Kamrup(M), Hailakandi, Bongaigaon, Sivasagar, Sonitpur and Morigaon, Assam.
Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project Recruitment Post Details
(i) Post Name: Finance Specialist
Number of Post: 06 ( One for each districts Jorhat, Kamrup(M), Hailakandi, Bongaigaon, Sivasagar, and Morigaon)
Pay: Rs. 5.04 lakh per annum
Age: The upper age limit is restricted to 45 years as on 01.01.2017
Educational Qualification:
- MCOM/MBA(Finance)/CA/CWA or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 year of relevant working experience in budgeting, financial management for large scale programmes/projects etc
- Experience of working in Government programmes or externally aided projects preferred.
- Must be computer literate, knowledge of tally software will be an added advantage.
- Exceptional degree of integrity, Judgment and tact In handling the most sensitive, diverse and confidential material.
- Strong communication skills in English. Hindi and Local Language
(ii) Post Name: Sanitation Specialist
Number of Post: 04 ( DPMU-One for each districts Jorhat, Bongaigaon. Sivasagar, and Morigaon)
Pay: Rs. 5.04 lakh per annum
Age: The upper age limit is restricted to 45 years as on 01.01.2017
Educational Qualification:
- Master degree in Engineering, Social Science, Environmental Science. water and sanitation, or a related field.
- 3 years of professional development experience in the WASH sector and significant project management experience.
- Experience in implementing, designing, or coordinating WASH in rural community.
- Familiarity with community-based sanitation programs and with a diversity of latrine designs for rural communities:
- Knowledge of SLWM technology options and experience In Implementing SLWM activities in rural areas.
- Exceptional degree of integrity, Judgment and tad In handling the most sensitive. diverse and confidential material.
- Fluency in English, Hindi and local language is necessary and desirable: Willing to travel extensively in rural areas.

(iii) Post Name: LDA Accounts.
Number of Post: 01 ( For SPMU at Guwahati)
Pay: Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 25,000/- including all incentive per month.
Age: The upper age limit is restricted to 45 years as on 01.01.2017
Educational Qualification:
- Graduate in Commerce from a recognized Institute,
- Minimum 2 years of relevant post qualification experience in budgeting, financial management, account, and audit.
- Candidates working in similar capacity in Government projects/PSU/Extemally aided projects will be given preference
- Experience of working with Tally software.
- Sound knowledge of Government Accounting, Income Tax, VAT and ether Taxation matters.
- Exceptional degree of integrity, judgement and tact in handling the most sensitive, diverse and confidential material.
- Must be computer literate and should have knowledge MS-Office, e-mail etc.
- Strong communication skills in English, Hindi and Local Language
(iii) Post Name: Office Assistant.
Number of Post: 01 ( For DPMU at Guwahati)
Pay: Rs. 10,000/- including all incentive per month.
Age: The upper age limit is restricted to 45 years as on 01.01.2017
Educational Qualification:
- Graduate in any stream from recognized institute.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant post qualification experience in office administration/file management/office correspondence etc.
- Must be computer literate and should have diploma in computer application and type writing.
- Strong communication skills in English, Hindi and Local Language.
