Designation: News Editor
Role in HeyNortheast: S/he will be the overall in-charge of the news published on HeyNortheast.com. The News Editor, along with the copy editors, would be responsible for clean and timely copies. Other responsibilities include assigning commissioned articles and blogs. Writing fresh articles will be a core job requirement.
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in print media. Digital journalism experience will be a bonus.
Salary: At par with industry standards.
Designation: Chief Copy Editor cum Senior Reporter
Role in HeyNortheast: The role of the Chief Copy Editor will be to get maximum cleaned copies. Besides editing, the Chief Copy Editor will also be required to write fresh articles.
Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in print media. Digital journalism experience will be a bonus.
Salary: At par with industry standards.
Designation: Copy editor
Role in HeyNortheast: The copy editor will look for generation of copies from various sources. Assamese to English translation skills preferred. Writing fresh articles will also be a requirement – This may involve occasional travelling within the city.
Experience: Fresher with zeal to learn in a startup environment. Interest in new media, especially social media, will be a big bonus.

Designation: Assistant Manager, sales & marketing
Role in HeyNortheast: The Assistant Sales and Marketing Manager will look after the sales and marketing department.
Experience: Minimum 8 years experience in media space selling. Digital experience will be a bonus. Freelance consultants also welcome.
Salary: At par with industry standards, includes commissions – as applicable.
Designation: Senior Reporter
Role in HeyNortheast: The role of the Senior Reporter will be to generate stories from across the Northeast. S/he will be primarily stationed at Guwahati.
Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in print media. Proficiency in English language is a must. Digital journalism experience will be a bonus.
Salary: At par with industry standards.
Designation: Graphic Designer
Experience: Fresher with zeal to learn in a startup environment. Mid to expert-level knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator is a must.
