Darrang District Recruitment Details
1. Driver
No of Posts: 01 Post
Salary: Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand) only per month.
Educational Qualification: The candidates must possess the minimum educational qualification of Class VIII standard(passed). Must possess a valid professional driving license.
Age: A candidate must not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years of age as on 01st January, 2026. In appropriate cases, relaxation of age will be admissible as per the existing rules of Government of Assam.
How to Apply for Darrang District Recruitment 2026
Interested and eligible candidates need to apply in Standard application form. The filled up “Application Form” along with self-signed copies of relevant testimonials/certificate regarding educational qualification, age, caste, employment exchange registration card, experience certificate (if any), valid professional driving license and two recent passport sized photographs along with the application.
The last date fixed for receipt of applications is 30/05/2026 till 04:00 PM. Candidates are required to submit their applications in the Drop Box set up for the purpose in the office of the District Legal Services Authority, Darrang. The Postal address of the office is “DISTRICT LEGAL SERVICES AUTHORITY, DARRANG, MANGALDAI, WARD NO:1, DRDA ROAD, NEAR TREASURY OFFICE, PIII: 784125,” The Authority will not be responsible for any postal delay. No application shall be received after 04:00 PM of 30/05/2026 (in any mode).

Selection Process for Driver Post
All eligible candidates whose applications are found valid and accepted shall be called to appear in a Driving Skitl Test carrying 40 (forty) marks. Candidates securing the qualifying/passing marks of 30 out of 40 (forty) marks in the Driving skill Test shall thereafter be called to appear for a Personal Interview carrying 60 (sixty) marks.
The final merit list shall be prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the Driving Skill Test and Personal Interview.
