- The ‘Group of Ministers meeting – 2018’ under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has started in Guwahati, Assam from April 18, 2018.
- Xhoihobote Dhemalite (Rainbow Fields), an Assamese film directed by Bidyut Kotoky, has been nominated in 8 categories at the Love International Film Festival (LIFF) in Los Angeles, US
- Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma informed the Assembly that centre has released funds of Rs 30 crore for the Central Agriculture University (CAU), which is being set up in Meghalaya
