As per official Advt. No. ASTC/MD/HO/1546/17/0027, Dated 12th April, 2017, Syllabus for ASTC Junior Engineer, Internal Auditor, Assistants recruitment exam 2018 is mentioned below.
Syllabus and Selection Process:
1. Written Test:
Paper-I:
a. Total Marks: 300,
b. Negative Marks: 0.5 will be deducted for each wrong answer,
c. Total Questions: 200
This will be a single common Question Paper for all categories of posts, which will cover the following subjects (10+2 Standard of NCERT/CBSE):
i. General Studies: Indian History, Geography, Economics, Polity and Constitution, Science & Technology, Current Affairs and Assam special from all the fields.
ii. Reasoning
iii. Decision Making
iv. Mathematics and
v. English

2. Written Test: Paper-II:
a. Total Marks: 100
b. Negative Marks: 1 Mark will be deducted for each wrong answer
c. Total Questions: 50 This will be an Extra Question Paper for Technical Posts viz. (a) Junior Engineer (Civil), (b) Foreman (Automobile) and (c) Internal Auditor which will cover the Subjects, (a) Civil Engineering, (b) Automobile Engineering and (c) Accountancy, respectively.
3. Computer Test: For shortlisted candidates from Written Test-Paper-I
a. Total Marks: 50 The Computer Test will be for U.D.A., L.D.A. and Section Assistant only which will cover various aspects like work on Words, PPT, Excel, Photoshop, DTP, Use of Internet including Mail and Messaging etc. and General knowledge of Computer Hardware & Software.
4. Interview: For shortlisted candidates from Written Test-Paper-I or/and Paper- II as the case may be.
a. Total Marks: 50 Interview will be conducted for the Posts namely, (a) A.P.O., (b) J.E.(Civil), (c) Foreman (Automobile) and (d) Internal Auditor only.
There will be no interview for U.D.A., L.D.A. and Section Assistant.
