Assam Police Recruitment 2026 Details

1. Constable (AB & UB)

No of Posts: 1715 Posts

• Constable (UB): 1052 posts
• Constable (AB): 663 posts

Pay scale: Rs. 14000-70000/- with Grade Pay Rs. 5600/- Grade Pay plus other Allowances as admissible under the rules.

Required Eligibility:

• Constable (UB): Candidates must be H.S. or Class XII passed from Govt. recognized Board or Council.
• Constable (AB): Candidates must be H.S.L.C or Class-X passed from Govt. recognized Board or Council.

Nationality: Applicant must be a Citizen of India and Permanent Resident of Assam. Selected Applicants will have to submit Proof of Residence after publication of the Final Select List. However, Applicants belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC are exempted from submitting such Certificates.

Local Language: The Applicant must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.

Age Limit for Assam Police Constable Recruitment 2026

Age: The age of the Applicant must be 18-25 years as on 01-01-2026 (i.e., Applicants born not before 01-01-2001 and not later than 01-01-2008).

Please Note: The age of the Applicants will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card/HSLC Passed Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council. No other document shall be accepted in lieu thereof for this purpose.

The Category wise age relaxation is given below:

• OBC/MOBC: 3 Years
• SC: 5 Years
• ST(P)/ST(H): 5 Years
