1. Forest Ranger in the Assam Forest Service under Environment & Forests Deptt., Assam

No of posts: 50 Posts [UR: 44, SC: 02, STP: 02, STH: 02]

Scale of Pay: Rs. 22,000/- to Rs. 97,000/- Grade Pay: Rs. 10,300/- Pay Band – 3

Educational Qualification: Applicant must possess Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Science or Engineering of any recognized University with at least in one of the following subjects:-

• Agriculture
• Botany
• Chemistry
• Computer Applications/ Computer Science
• Engineering (Agriculture/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical)
• Environmental Science
• Forestry
• Geology
• Horticulture
• Mathematics
• Physics
• Statistics
• Veterinary Science
• Zoology

Eligibility Criteria:

• The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
• The candidate must upload valid PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange registration certificate of the candidate which will be treated as proof of residency. State Govt. employees of Assam need not submit any document regarding domicile proof; however, they will have to submit No Objection Certificate (NOCJ from their respective employer.

Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025. The upper age limit is relatable. Relaxation of age is SC: 5 years, ST: 5 years, OBC/ MOBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10 years.
