Details of Water Resources Department Assam Recruitment
1. Assistant Engineer (Civil) under Water Resources Department
No of posts: 45 Posts
Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- Grade Pay: Rs. 12,700/-
Educational Qualification:
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Civil Engineering (B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering) from an Indian or Foreign University recognized by Govt. OR Candidate must have passed (Part A & B) of AMIE (India) in Civil Engineering if he/she had enrolled in AMIE course on or before 31-05-2013.
- The Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering must be a Regular course. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering obtained through Distance mode of education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2025. The upper age limit is relatable. Relaxation of age is SC: 5 years, ST: 5 years, OBC/ MOBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10 years.

2. Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) under Water Resources Department

Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- Grade Pay: Rs. 12,700/-
Educational Qualification:
- B.E or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering obtained from any institute approved by the AICTE and recognized by the Government OR Candidate must have passed (Part A & B) of AMIE (India) in Mechanical Engineering if he/she had enrolled in AMIE course on or before 31-05-2013.
- The Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering must be a Regular course. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering obtained through Distance mode of education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.

- The Diploma course in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology must be a Regular Full time course. Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology obtained through Distance mode of education, by whatever name. called, will not be accepted.
Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2025. The upper age limit is relatable. Relaxation of age is SC: 5 years, ST: 5 years, OBC/ MOBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10 years.
