Eligibility Criteria: Candidates seeking admission to the Bhattadev University Ph.D. Programme 2026-27 must have a two-year Master’s Degree in the concerned subject or an allied subject with at least 55% marks in aggregate, or an equivalent grade.
A relaxation of 5% marks or an equivalent grade may be provided to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Differently-Abled candidates with 40% or more disability, and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories, in accordance with UGC guidelines.

Bhattadev University PhD Admission Process
The admission to the Ph.D. programme will be conducted through a two-stage selection process:
Stage 1: BU-PET 2026
Eligible candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. programme must qualify in the Bhattadev University Ph.D. Entrance Test (BU-PET). The examination will be conducted in offline mode. The entrance test syllabus will consist of:
- General – 50%
- Subject-Specific – 50%
Stage 2: Personal Interview
Candidates who qualify in the BU-PET will be shortlisted for a personal interview. The interview will be conducted by the university to assess the suitability of candidates for Ph.D. admission.
Documents to be produced at the time of interview:
- A print copy of the Application Form generated after submission.
- Original Copies of Pass Certificates and Mark-Sheets from HSLC to Master’s Degree.
- Original Caste Certificate, if applicable.
- Self-attested copy of score card for UGC-NET, etc.
- Self-attested copy of score card of BU-PET 2026 downloaded from University website
- No Objection Certificate (in case, the candidate is employed).
Exemption from Entrance Test
Candidates who have qualified NET/SET or other equivalent national-level tests are exempted from appearing in the written BU-PET, as per the UGC guidelines and the university notification. However, candidates who receive exemption from the written examination will still be required to appear in the personal interview.
