1. Assistant Administrative Officer
Salary & Allowances: This position is offered as a three-year term based appointment with Pay and benefits in Pay level 08 under 7th CPC.
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Management, Administration, Commerce, or related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in academic administration or institutional operations.
- Proficiency in MS Office, documentation, and office management systems.
- Good communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Similar work experience in reputed educational institutions such as IIMs, IITs etc. would be preferable.
Age: Maximum 55 years (No Age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women/Ex-Servicemen for this particular position.
2. Stores & Purchase Officer
Salary & Allowances: This position is offered as a three-year term based appointment with Pay and benefits in Pay level 08 under 7th CPC.
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Management, Administration, Commerce or related field with atleast 8 years of experience in the role of Stores & Purchase.
- Knowledge and experience in Govt./ PSU/ central autonomous bodies in similar roles is preferred.
- It is desirable that the applicant should have the working knowledge of ERP, GeM portal, GFR 2017, FR & SR and relevant Central Government rules and procedures.

3. Assistant Librarian
Salary & Allowances: This position is offered as a three-year term based appointment with Pay and benefits in Pay level 08 under 7th CPC.
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science (MLISc) from a recognized University/Institution with NET/SLET/SET qualified.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in academic, institutional, or research libraries.
- Knowledge of library automation software, digital library systems, and e-resource management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and information management systems.

4. Accountant
Salary & Allowances: This position is offered as a three-year term based appointment with Pay and benefits in Pay level 06 under 7th CPC.
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Accounting/Finance. Candidates with M.Com, MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CMA, ICWA or relevant accounting certifications will be preferred.
- The candidate should have at least 5 years post qualification professional experience in the field of Finance/ Accounts/ Audit Departments.
- Similar work experience in reputed educational institutions such as IIMs, IITs etc./ autonomous body/ PSU would be preferable.
- An excellent knowledge of accounting software or ERP platforms like Tally Prime/Enterprise Resource Planning/SAP tools and Fixed Asset module is necessary.

5. Junior Engineer (Civil)
Salary & Allowances: This position is offered as a three-year term based appointment with Pay and benefits in Pay level 06 under 7th CPC.
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil, maintenance of infrastructure and campus.
- Similar work experience in reputed educational institutions such as IIMs, IITs etc. would be preferable.

6. Junior Assistant
Salary & Allowances: This position is offered as a three-year term based appointment with Pay and benefits in Pay level 04 under 7th CPC.
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Graduation in any field from a recognised university
- Minimum 4 years of administrative experience, preferably working in educational institutions like IIMs, IITs etc.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Understanding and experience of PGP classroom operations.

Selection Process for IIM Guwahati Recruitment
The candidates shall have to undergo “Computer based-Multiple Choice-Objective Type Test” comprising following three sectional papers, Engineering Stream Section 1, Engineering Stream Section II and General Ability Test Section III. All candidates appearing in the “Computer based-Multiple Choice-Objective Type Test” shall be given a score based on their performance in the “Computer based-Multiple Choice-Objective Type Test”.
- The pattern of the questions will be multiple choice objective type questions (MCQ) with negative marking. All candidates will undergo a “Computer based-Multiple Choice-Objective Type Test” of 3 hours duration.
- The examination (Computer based-Multiple choice-Objective type test) will consist of one paper as given below:

**Total duration of the Exam is 3 hours.
The examination will be Objective type with negative marking. For each correct answer 04 (Four) Marks will be awarded and for each wrong answer (-) 1 (One) Mark will be awarded.
Minimum Qualifying Marks in each Section shall be 40% in each Section and overall minimum Qualifying Marks in all three sections combined shall be 50 % for Unreserved Candidates and OBC (CL) Candidates. For SC/ST, OBC (NCL), PwBD and EWS Candidates, there shall be relaxation in Qualifying Marks and the Minimum Qualifying Marks in each Section shall be 35% and overall minimum Qualifying Marks in all three section combined shall be 45%.
Candidates, obtaining less marks than the minimum qualifying marks in any of the Sections and three sections combined shall not be considered for including in the merit list.
