GU Admission Notification 2018 For B.Tech., B.Tech-Lateral and M.Tech Courses

GU Admission Notification 2018 for B.Tech., B.Tech-Lateral, M.Tech. programmes of Gauhati University(GU) Institute of Science and Technology for the session 2018-19 will be started soon.

The admission and counseling for B.Tech programmes will be through JEE (Main)-2018 and CEE (Assam)- 2018. Candidate with valid PRC of Assam only can attend the counselling.There is no need for submission of forms for the B.Tech. admission before counselling.

B.Tech. (Lateral) candidates will have to appear in an Entrance test for which applications will be available online.

In M.Tech. programme, there are provisions through Direct admission for the candidates with valid GATE score and through entrance test for others. Online form fill-up for direct admission into the M.Tech, Programme will be available from May 16, 2018 Wednesday.

Gauhati University Admission Notification Important Points and Application Fees

Application Fee: An amount of Rs. 300/- (Three Hundred) only has be paid as application fee for each programme.
Fee for entrance: Rs. 200/- has to be paid as entrance fee for B Tech.-Lateral and M.Tech. programmes through SBI collect.
Reservation: Reservation shall be as per G.U. Rules.
The candidates seeking admission under reserved categories viz. SC, ST, OBC and MOBC shall be given relaxation up to 5% (Five percent) of the marks prescribed for eligibility criteria.
The relaxation will not be applicable to candidates seeking admission under any other reserved categories.
Candidates for other reserved seats viz. Extra and Co-curricular activities, Fringe village, ward of GU employee, Differently abled have to submit additional prescribed application form available in the Gauhati University Press(GUP), GU
