Silchar Recruitment Details
1. Driver
No of Posts: 01 Post
Salary: Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand) only per month.
Educational Qualification: Minimum Educational Qualification of Class X (HSLC) standard from a recognised Board.
Driving License: The Candidate must have a valid LMV Driving License issued by competent authority. The Driving License must be issued at least 3 years before the date of publication of this advertisement.
Age: The candidate must not be less than 18 years and above 40 years of age. Age criteria shall be guided by government guidelines and the determinative date shall be 01/01/2026.

The intending candidates will have to submit their application in sealed envelope addressed to “The Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Cachar” Court Road, Sadarghat, Silchar, Cachar, Assam, Pin-788001 either personally or through post on or before the last date of submission i.e., 02/06/2026 till 05:00 PM, in the “Drop Box” placed at the 1st Floor of the O/O. District Legal Services Authority, Cachar.
The applicants must superscribe “Application for the post of Driver (Contractual)” on the top of the envelope and must write their WHATSAPP/MOBILE No. and Email ID on the top of the Standard Form in red ink.
The applications must be accompanied with:
- Two Copies of recent passport size coloured photographs.
- Self attested copies of all testimonials in support of educational qualification, Driving License and Employment Registration certificate.
- Experience certificate, if any.
Selection Process for Driver Post
Stage 1 Driving Test: 30 marks
The Driving Test will be on the segments namely Starting, Driving, Parking and after driving (10 marks for each segment totalling 30 marks). In order to qualify in the Driving Test, a candidate shall have to secure a minimum of 15 marks out of the total 30 marks.
Stage 2 Viva-voce: 30 marks
