National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam has published a recruitment notification regarding recruitment of 17 Teaching and Non Teaching Posts. NLUJAA Recruitment Details

1. Professor of Law

No of Posts: 02 Posts [UR: 2]

Scale of Pay: As per 7CPC (Academic Level 14 with rationalized entry pay of Rs. 1,44,200/-)

Educational Qualification:  An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given. A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate. OR

An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten years’ experience.

 

2. Associate Professor of Law

No of Posts: 04 Posts [UR: 3, SC: 1]

Scale of Pay: As per 7CPC (Academic Level 13A with rationalized entry pay of Rs. 1,31,400/-)

Educational Qualification:  

  • A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
  • A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a pointscale, wherever the grading system is followed).
  • A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given.

 

3. Assistant Professor of Law

No of Posts: 02 Posts [UR: 1, UR(PwD): 1]

Scale of Pay: As per 7CPC (Academic Level 10 with rationalized entry pay of Rs. 57, 700/-)

Educational Qualification:  

  • A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Relaxations of 5% shall be allowed at the Master Level for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / OBC (NCL) / Differently Abled Category for the purpose of eligibility and assessing good academic record for direct recruitment. The eligibility marks of 55% (or equivalent grade) and the relaxation of 5% to the above mentioned categories are permissible, based only on the qualifying marks without including any grace marks procedure.
  • Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the national Eligibility test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET:
  • Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Byelaws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions:-
    • The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode.
    • The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners.
    • An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted.
    • The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which is least one is in a refereed journal.
    • The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC / ICSSR / CSIR or any similar agency.

4. Assistant Professor of Political Science

5. Finance Officer

Scale of Pay: Pay Level 14 with Rationalized Entry Pay of Rs. 1, 44, 200/

Required Eligibility:  

  • Master’s Degree (Finance) with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
  • At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in the Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration or
  • Comparable experience in research establishment and/ or other institutions of higher education, or d) 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

 

6. Deputy Registrar (Academic)

No of Posts: 01 Post [UR: 1]

Scale of Pay: Level 12 with Rationalized Entry Pay of Rs. 78,800/-

Required Eligibility:  

  • Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed
  • 9 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 10 and above with experience in educational administration, or
  • Comparable experience in research establishment and/ or other institutions of higher education, or
  • 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in equivalent post.

 

7. Administrative Officer

No of Posts: 01 Post [UR: 1]

Scale of Pay: Pay Band: ₹30,000 – ₹1,10,000 Grade Pay: ₹13,900/-

Required Eligibility:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce from a recognized University.
  • Ten (10) years’ experience in the field of general administration, out of which at least five (05) years shall be in a responsible position not below the rank of Senior Administrative Assistant or equivalent, or in a higher post in Government / Semi-Government offices / recognized Public Institutions or Undertakings.
  • Experience in dealing with Establishment matters, General Administration, Personnel and Financial matters.

 

8. Junior Administrative Assistant

No of Posts: 02 Posts [UR: 1, SC: 1]

Scale of Pay: Pay Band: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 Grade Pay: ₹8,700/-

Required Eligibility:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University / Institution.
  • Must possess adequate knowledge of computer applications, including office productivity tools and basic digital record management.

Experience: Minimum three (03) years’ working experience in any University, Central or State Government Organization, Higher Secondary Council, or Board of Secondary Education

 

9. System Operator

No of Posts: 01 Post [OBC/MOBC: 1]

Scale of Pay: Pay Band: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 Grade Pay: ₹8,700/-

Required Eligibility:  

  • BCA or equivalent or Graduate with DOEACC ‘A’ Level (Diploma) ‘or’ Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering (Three Years) from recognized institution.
  • The candidate shall have exposure in using hardware, software and networking in office environment.

Experience: Minimum three years’ work experience in any reputed and recognized Educational Institution / Computer Centre. Working knowledge of C++ and Tally is desirable.

 

10. Library Restorer

No of Posts: 01 Post [OBC/MOBC: 1]

Scale of Pay: Pay Band: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 Grade Pay: ₹6,200/-

Required Eligibility: Passed 10th Standard from a recognized Board.

Experience: Minimum two (02) years’ working experience in any University / Educational Institution / Central or State Government Organization / Higher Secondary Council / Board of Secondary Education. Experience in handling library-related support functions, including maintenance and preservation of library materials, shelving and retrieval of books, basic record-keeping, and assistance in library operations.

 

11. Cook-cum-Attendant

No of Posts: 01 Post [UR: 1]

Scale of Pay: Pay Band: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 Grade Pay: ₹5,600/-

Required Eligibility: Passed 8th Standard from a recognized Board.

Experience: Minimum two (02) years’ experience as a Cook in a Hostel / Guest House / Canteen / Mess attached to a Hostel in any Institution of Higher Learning. Experience in preparation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items, maintenance of hygiene and cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas, and adherence to basic food safety and sanitation practices.
