Anganwadi Recruitment Details
1. Anganwadi Worker
No of posts: 15 Posts
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary (HS) examination to be eligible for the post. However, in areas where suitable HS-passed candidates are not available, applicants who have passed HSLC/AHM may also be considered eligible.
Age: Candidates age should be between 18 years to 44 years as on 1st January 2026.
2. Anganwadi Helper
No of posts: 16 Posts
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the HSLC/AHM examination to be eligible for the post. However, if no HSLC/AHM-passed candidates are available in a particular area, Class IX-passed candidates may also be considered eligible for appointment.
Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 years to 44 years as on 1st January 2026.
Resident(For both Posts): Applicants for the post of Anganwadi Worker/Anganwadi Helper must be permanent residents of the concerned Anganwadi Centre survey area where the respective Anganwadi Centre is situated.
How to Apply for Anganwadi Recruitment 2026
Under the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Assam, applications are invited from eligible female candidates for engagement as Anganwadi Workers/Anganwadi Helpers in the vacant Anganwadi Centres under the concerned Child Development Project. The engagement will be made on a voluntary service basis, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility conditions.
Interested candidates can submit their applications in the prescribed application form along with the required information and supporting documents. Applicants must attach two recent passport-size photographs with the application form. Candidates should also submit the application within the prescribed time and follow all instructions mentioned in the official notification.
