ASSEB Duplicate Certificate Application
The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division-I (formerly SEBA) allows students to apply for duplicate HSLC and HS documents in case the original certificates are lost, damaged, stolen, or destroyed. Eligible candidates can apply for a Duplicate Pass Certificate, Marksheet, Admit Card, Migration Certificate, or other academic documents through the prescribed application procedure.
The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has announced a special relief measure for students affected by the recent floods in the districts of Charaideo, Sivasagar, Jorhat, and Golaghat. Students who have lost their essential academic documents due to the floods can apply for duplicate HSLC/AHM and HS Final Examination Pass Certificates, Marksheets, Admit Cards, and Registration Cards free of cost. This initiative aims to help flood-affected students recover their important educational records without any financial burden and continue their higher education or employment process without interruption. Eligible candidates are advised to submit their applications through the procedure prescribed by ASSEB within the notified timeline.
Students are required to submit the necessary documents. However, No police report is required to be uploaded in the portal while applying. Instead of police report, a self – certificate as flood affected will be uploaded by applicant in the portal.

Students who have lost or damaged their HSLC/AHM or HS Final Examination documents can apply for an ASSEB Duplicate Certificate by following the steps below:
- Visit the official Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) website or visit the important link section below and open the Duplicate Certificate Application portal.
- Select the type of document you wish to obtain, such as Pass Certificate, Marksheet, Admit Card, Registration Card or Migration Certificate.
- Fill in the online application form with your Name, Roll Number, Registration Number, Examination Year, Mobile Number, Email ID and other required details exactly as per the board records.
- Upload the necessary supporting documents, including a passport-size photograph, identity proof, affidavit/FIR (if applicable), and any other documents specified by ASSEB.
- Pay the prescribed application fee online through the available payment gateway. (Flood-affected students from notified districts, if eligible, may be exempted from paying the fee as per ASSEB guidelines.)
- Carefully review all the information entered and submit the application form. After successful submission, download and print the application acknowledgement/receipt for future reference.
- ASSEB will verify the submitted details and documents. Once the verification process is completed, the duplicate certificate will be issued, and applicants can collect it or receive it through the mode specified by the Board.
