• The Morigaon Sahitya Utsav 2018 was held at Morigaon. Novelist Arup Kumar Nath was conferred with the Pitram Nath Memorial Literary Award at Morigaon Sahitya Utsav
• First edition of Cancer Screening Mela organized in Mizoram
• Meghalaya state government has launched ‘Mission Lakadong’ to achieve a five-fold increase in the production of Lakadong turmeric
