There is a news that Assam State government soon to create 326 new posts in the Secretariat as stated by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal last year, while attending the 71st general session of the Assam Secretariat Service Association in August 2017.

Assam Secretariat Service Association has asked the State government to create the 326 new posts in the Secretariat at the earliest to upgrade the quality of service.
Mr. Partha Hazarika, general secretary of the Assam Secretariat Service Association said to media “Chief Minister Sonowal informed us that steps had been taken for creation of 326 posts for the Assam Secretariat at different level under the Assam Secretariat Subordinate Service Rules, 1963, and Assam Secretariat Service Rules, 1963. We urge him and the State government to expedite the process at the earliest in the interest of general public.”
